Doctor Visit...

Didn’t know where else to ask this question, so here goes: I have a physical on Monday. For all the time I spend working out and learning nutrition, I am horrible with going to the doctor (unless I’m really sick). My question is, what should I be asking for? I am getting a “general physical”, which from what I understand doesn’t check for all that much. Will things like mineral deficiencies and allergy tests be done, or is that something I have to request? And also, has anyone gotten any additional tests done beyond what a general physical covers that they highly recommend for someone who wants optimal health?

Why are you getting the physical.

Is it for a job or life insurance.

No, just a “yearly physical” that is covered by insurance. I skipped it the last 2 years, but I’m 37 now and think its a good idea to start doing this more regularly now, hence the appointment.
