Hi little buddies,
Check out the picture of me standing in a relax and neutral position. I am folding my arms, so that you can have a better view of my pelvis.
So, do I have an anterior pelvic tilt?
Uncle Bird.

Anyone else? Do i really have a tilt? is it that obvious?

Yes. And so do I. My back looks nearly like that.
Is it a bad tilt?
What are specific things I should be doing to get rid of it?
I already stretch my hip flexors and do glute activation exercises almost daily.

yeah you do. Is it causing you pain? It’s only a problem if there’s dysfunction
it’s not just the back, it’s also the front. even if you’re shredded, you will always look like you have a belly. i have the same problem to a certain extent.
the two things you should be doing is stretching (hip flexors may not be the only culprit) but also strengthening. try doing reverse crunches, those have helped my APT quite a bit.
I do Warrior Lunges and will be putting in some hip thrusts for glutes into my schedule soon. T-Nation has an article on lordosia somewhere, go check it out!

I have lower back issues, and occasional groin problems.
Is that been caused by my tilt? What do you recommend I do?

Lordosis causes lower back pain.
Stop sitting down too much man!
And stretch those hip flexors!

Well from my own experience, I would say get yourself a copy of Athletic Body in Balance by Gray Cook, and do the functional movement screens. I’d bet dollars to doughnuts you’ll fail the deep squat and active leg raise tests.
Once you’ve done that you’ll know what exercises are contraindicated and that’ll make it much easier to design a program that doesn’t hurt your back. You’ll also get a strategy to fix your imbalances (I didn’t actually do that, just dropped the contraindicated exercises. No more deadlifts for me!).
That’s what I did, and my back is better than it’s been in years now.
Seriously, get the book. It’s life changing.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will be ordering that book tonight. Would you like to share more about your own experience?

Your APT doesn’t look nearly as bad as most people’s that I have seen. Especially since you are so lean, which is when it is easier to see as most fat guys will naturally have more APT since their belly weighs them forward. It doesnt look bad at all to me. I would say Lordosis yes, APT no. But the real question, as RDS already asked, is what pains or discomfort is it causing you? If none, I would not worry about it.

Thanks for your input.
I occasionally get lower back pain, more so on the left side and also some groin pains, also more on the left side. I dont know if this is related to my posture or not??
