I really like IronMind’s dipping belt, but I’m not sure how it compares to others. It’s fabric, but it’s strong as hell. I know it’s pretty expensive, but I got mine at a discount.
You can also get a loading pin and carbiner attachment, but I don’t really think that it’s a good idea since the weights would be horizontal.
maybe you can skip the dip belt and buy one of those green bands or whatever color you want. just attach it to a super heavy dumbell and loop it around your neck…if that’s still too light then just slap on a 35lber on the belt…
but if you really want to see all that weight hanging from the belt go ahead and mash your stuff

oh ok, i needed a visual. sometimes things don’t process in other people’s minds like you think they would.
LOL, don’t worry about it. I was just suprised that no one else understood what I was talking about. [/quote]
I didnt get it because first you say that you didnt tell the guy to attach the dumbbell to his dip belt, and then you show a pic of a dumbbell attached to a dip belt. Just technicalities though. Good suggestion in the end.
i like the bench dip idea. unfortunately since my brother stopped working out i’ve been by myself for a couple years. i’ve gotten used to the idea of no spotter since i don’t train to failure, but obviously in this case that wouldn’t be possible alone.
i appreciate all the feedback. before i go out and buy extra chain and clips i’ll work up to the highest dumbbell in the gym.
