I’m 44 and my girlfriend is 27. Other than musical differences, we get along quite well. I have to be the dad or big brother some of the time, but I knew that getting into it.

kinda like walkin on egg shells… even now… i was thinking of starting a step kids thread and see how T-Nationers deal with this…
When they were kids it was all cute, but now preteens… yikes!
I really dont know how far the boundaries of my role in their lives… esp when they are starting to become opinionated at their age.

No weird relationships here, but one friend of had one that comes to mind. He comes from a VERY strict Indian family. He is a very normal college guy with a liberal social life and what not, but he had to put up quite the front at home or else get disowned. He dated this one real nice, good looking girl for 3 years as an undergrad. However, she was white, and if his parents knew that he was with a non-Indian woman they probably would have killed themselves. So literally, he had to hide the fact that he was dating a girl from his own family for a few years, and when they figured out he was with someone he had to find excuses to keep them from ever seeing her and knowing she was white. Meanwhile, he was hanging out with her family and hanging out at her house and what not. They ended up ending it, and I assume that the stress of his family put it over the edge.
For someone who is not from a family like that, it seemed very strange to me that your parents could control your life like that.
if you are from an asian family and/or of asian decent, the views of the older generations are really conservative. in fact its only now these things are coming into the open, maybe due to TV and western culture… but yeah, its not strange to have a guy marry then still be living at home with his wife and kids here.

Of course there’s always abstinence. I haven’t done anything more than hug a girl in close to 3 years. I’m pretty happy.
ROFLMAO, good one.
Sex is just like coffee. If you’re up to 4 cups/day, it’s hard to picture making it through the next day without a cup. But if you can force yourself through a week or so without it and find that natural energy, then you don’t need it anymore.

Maybe this is true for some people. It’s not true for me. I’ve even gone completely cold, no sex no masturbation no nothing, but I don’t think I’ve ever gone more than two months. Eventually I give in.

No, that is really weird, in fact because it’s more likely made up than not, I’m gonna call bullshit. What kind of 18 year old dates a 12 year old?
Well that probably didnt happened to u but its not bullshit! I was in 1st of secondary school, 2-8 pm. we were like 2 weeks together, then she swap me for one of the rebels one. yes we didnt have sex, but anyhow I had fun.

I’d be tempted to call shennanigans on that one. But then I recall when I was 18 or so I was talkin to this 17 yr old girl on the phone that said she had sex with a 12 yr old. I asked her why and she just said “I was horny”.
I hung with a strange crowd back in those days and I’m glad those days are gone.
My high school girlfriend, who was a straight up 10, left me for Montell Jordan during our senior year. She is now married to a poor, fat slob of at least 40 (she’s 23), and has an ugly dyke ass lesbian girlfriend who lives with them. guess the singing career didn’t work out… dumb bitch

Well, don’t know if this is weird, I guess it is to some…My husband, who I met online, is 42, I am 26. Even weirder still?..we LOVE hanging out with each other and always have a blast. probably cause I’m not the typical female, I love lifting and working on cars and drag racing our Fairlane, and love spoiling my husband. hmmm…maybe it’s just me that’s weird

Twice I’ve been a single guy and walked into a step parent relationship. Once when I was 23 and she was 34 with 2 kids, and again when I was 30 and she was 36 with 4 kids.
I still see the kids from the first relationship on occasions and they treat me very respectfully and we get on well.
The current kids are great but bloody hell we’ve been through a lot of shit. But then again, what parent doesn’t, step or otherwise?
It’s not easy being a step parent, perhaps that’s why I needed 2 apprenticeships.
Blaze, many times I wished I could speak to someone who knew where I was coming from. If you want to chat, no probs or start a thread, either way, I’d be glad to chat if it helps.

Posted this before but it seems to have got lost…
Twice I’ve gone from being a single guy to a step father. At 23 and she was 34 with 2 kids, and again at 30 and she was 36 with 4 kids.
Had some tough crap to work through but what parent hasn’t, step or otherwise.
Blaze, if you start a step kids thread I think it would get a lot of hits, if you just want to chat about shit, feel free.
