Dieting with Shelby

Did you guys see this thread also, pretty good progress breakdown of working with him. To the OP, you’ll do very well.

metatrop and cognitrop are in the plan but at the moment hes just got me using metatrop.

Shelby is the man! I’m currently working with him myself.

Just finished week 6 so I have another 6 weeks with him.

The results have been phenomenal.

When you get down to a certain body fat that you think is acceptable are you going to use him to put on weight too? Ya know so you don’t go overboard and blow all your progress. Good luck man.

riverhawk - at this time with my boxing im not interested in gaining any mass… shelb will actually be helping me drop a weight class. my main goal is to give my self the highest power to weight ratio and get my eating habits on point more consistently. im very tempted so far to hire him year round, just for maintenence. im very happy even after basically 4 days now. appreciate it.

well i will have the first update on pics this thursday. whether its going to show in the pics, i definitly feel a lil tighter, gym sessions have gone great. i was a lil worried i might start to lag on the low days, durig the longer boxing session, but so far so good.

yesterday was my high carb day which was great, 7 meals = big smile. everything eaten is very clean and planned out.

one thing i have started to notice with the higher frequency of meals, even on low days is that even if you have a slight nag in your mind like ooh a cookie would be great, i have found i dont even have time cause my next meal is hardly any time away. especially by the time ive finished one and everything is prepared before hand and ready to go! im feeling very happy.

Ill be following this thread as well. Im working with Shelby at the moment but coming from a much higher BF than you (around 21%). He’s a good dude and im excited for the changes. Good luck man!

I worked with Shelby for 6 weeks and achieved 9%bf from a 13% starting

you need to listen to his recommendations to a T. If you divulge, you will suffer and feel as though you didn’t get what you paid for when in essence, you did. He had me on three low, 2 medium, 1 high a week and i stayed on this for 2 months. I ended uo increasing in compound lifts and losing fat. I am not as lean as I set out to be in my goal but I am maintaing and even cheating once in a while. I have reworked my metabolism to be not be so carb sensitive. I was a on lowcard diet prior for a full year.

follow the rules. dont be dissapointed if you dont and your results suffer. PM me if you want more insight

ok so down 1.5lb, though i feel leaner than that, whether the pics show this. the original weight was done after 3 days of only veggies as carbs so body could have been a little dehydrated. these most recent were taken after a medium day.

on the whole though im very happy so far…

CURRENT WEIGHT: 164.0lb
LAST WEEKâ??S WEIGHT: 165.5lb
CURRENT CARDIO: 30 min, everyday.
CURRENT CARB ROTATION: High x 2 (mon/fri), medium x 1 (wed), low x 4 (tue/thu/sat/sun)
HOW TRAINING / STRENGTH GAINS ARE GOING: training has gone great this week, been pleased with how Iâ??ve felt in the gym.
HOW BOXING IS GOING: have not been able to get to my boxing gym as often as normal, mainly due to weather
ANY DEVIATIONS THIS PAST WEEK: only that i have not been able to get to the boxing gym as often as i wanted to. all prescribed cardio and strength was done though.

just heard back from shelby, he said he could see progress in lower back and midsection already (i haven’t looked at the pics really myself. i just took them and sent them off lol).

we are going to run the same plan for 1 more week then reassess. =D

What are your carb sources from? I am assuming complex carbs like oats/sweet potatoes but does it include fruit at all? Also, do you aim for zero/trace carbs on low days?

yeh carb sources are complex, plus veggies on all days, including low. fruit, i only have on a high days.
