Diet Advice

Here are the stats…48 years…ranked 4th in the US in the 220lb PL Class in 2004 and 2005 (PL)…I state that because I know the “right way to do things”…lol. Injuries, divorce etc…blew up. Looking to lose 30lbs in 30 days. Have already lost 9lbs in 13 days. I know how to eat, train, cardio, supps etc. I am doing this drastically so limt the flames. Currently 235lbs at 5’10". Was 244 13 days ago. Health is no concern for the next 30 days so here is my routine etc…

40-50 min cardio at 9AM…heartrate between 135 - 155 on average throughout (burn maybe 600 calories). Post cardio 500mg vitamin C + 8,000iu A + 3 grams L-Glutamine. One hour later 2 cans tuna plain…water or diet soda.

30 min cardio at 3pm…heartrate abot 140 throught (burn maybe 400 calories). Workout of chest (12 sets) and tri’s (9 sets)…or back (10 sets)…or shoulders/lats 18 sets total…or bi’s (10 sets). (WEIGHTS ARE AS HEAVY AS I CAN HANDLE…I am not dicking around) No legs right now. All weights going up every workout. Post workout 500mg vitamin C + 2 grams L-Glutamine + 1 can tuna plain. Dinner consists of 500 calories of which carbs maybe 80grams. The rest protein and veggies. Snack is tuna and a couple slices of cheese.

I just sent back my whey due to an allergy to whey that I developed somehow so am awaiting the new Potato Protein I have ordered.

With all this in mind it looks to me that I am in a calorie deficit daily…so the 30lbs in 30 days is doable…oh…I walk to and from the gym so add about a mile walk to it all.

Listen everyone…I know this is drastic so just give me the basic yes or no can I achieve the goal in your opinion. Feel free to add tweaks that may help.

Thanks so much

Are you trying to lose 30 lbs. of fat in 30 days? If so, you need to be in a 3500 calorie-a-day deficit and I don’t see how that’s doable. I read where LiquidMercury in the PL section dumped 20 lbs. of water in 24 hours, so if you are trying to make weight for something it might be possible. Or maybe if you walked 40-50 miles a day and were on a sub 1k calorie diet you could drop that much weight in fat.

Lol…I have been out of it so long I forgot about the 3500 calorie per day issue. So…we burn basically 2000 calories / day just to survive. I burn 1000/day in cardio on the elliptical ( 75-90 minutes at an average heartrate of 140bpm)…200 calories walking to and from the gym…burn 300 calories / day lifting…and ADD back in 1200 calories / day in food on average. After the addition and subtraction I come up with a deficit of 1200 calories / day…1/3 of a lb/day. Sound about right. I know I have burned fat quicker in the past so hopefully my metabolic rate is stil active at 48yrs. More suggestions / comments welcome.

as jjack stated what and why?

Yes you can lose that much weight—just depends if it is mosyly water or not.

Answer first question and I will see if I will help
