Not a huge fan of eggs anyway.

I believe most medical professionals will have a positive view of eggs. I think it would be rare to find someone suffering from heart disease that got there from eggs vs processed foods.

In general, I can think of many many many many many many MANY foods that are regularly consumed without any concern whatsoever that I would consider far more dangerous than an egg. Itā€™s honestly incredible how much weā€™ve demonized eggs while ignoring Raisin Bran.

Being able to accurately interpret these findings is critical. Donā€™t just take soundbites.

No, not generally: your liver is the producer of the majority of the cholesterol in your body. Your body RESPONDS to the foods you eat, and this can, in turn, result in an increase in LDL, but itā€™s simply a matter that eating cholesterol creates cholesterol.

Nic Norrowitz has performed multiple experiments where he LOWERED his cholesterol by eating eggs, bacon, and oreos of all things.

Think of the function of LDL. Your body is producing it to heal inflammation. Think about HOW you could be causing systemic inflammation in your body. Quite often, if weā€™re talking nutrition, itā€™s NOT from eggs: itā€™s from all the other crap we eat and drink on a regular basis.

I donā€™t mean to beat this drum so hard, but this is one of those things that is stepping over dollars to pick up dimes. Limiting oneā€™s egg intake is REALLY far down on the list of lifestyle changes to make to ensure better health.

Fatty liver takes more than a month to build, so it stands to reason it will take more than a month to lose.

Itā€™s awesome youā€™ve eaten reasonably well for this month. Ideally, you have found your why to overcome this how. From here, itā€™s a game of consistency: doing the things you know are the right things to do.

Your training can go in that direction as well.

Just looking back you were 110kg Q4 of 2024, you were 120kg in 2017.

You are just bouncing back and forth and never really making progress. You recognise that this is dangerous and is (not will, not might, but is already) causing permanent lasting damage to your health, you recognise the need to make permanent changes to address this, and yet in 8 years, there really hasnā€™t been a change.

Have you given any thought as to whatā€™s holding you back?

Iā€™ve mentioned before that Iā€™ve made changes - Iā€™ve had hba1c thatā€™s higher than Iā€™d like - despite not being fat, and had slightly low HDL, slightly high blood pressure - things I monitor regularly and address immediately. The way I get these changes to stick is a mindset change, keep telling yourself that youā€™re someone who doesnā€™t eat (insert whatever is causing the issue) at all.

Be ruthless, eliminate everything thatā€™s holding you back, donā€™t eat anything that you havenā€™t personally prepared, donā€™t eat anything with an ingredient list, only single ingredient items. Treat this like itā€™s life or death, because letā€™s be real, for you it is. Be meticulous - log everything here, itā€™s surprising what even the tiny level of accountability that this forum provides will do for you.

Are you willing to do that? Before you answer that, remember that everything that matters to you in life, depends on you being at a bear minimum alive but probably fit and healthy as well (who really wants to be a burden to their nearest and dearest because they couldnā€™t committ to losing weight?).

Failing all this, if you really canā€™t commit to it well then maybe itā€™s time to try ozempic.

Good, if I were you Iā€™d put some pressure on yourself, you say you want to lose 5kg asap, thatā€™s easily achievable within 10 weeks. Put a reminder in your diary for 10 weeks time, if you havenā€™t made it, book the Drs appointment for ozempic. If youā€™re really determined to stay off it, then put yourself in the position where it costs you something to not follow through.
