A real man trains in pink…

One time I apparently had a night gown in my drawer where I keep my workout shirts. It happened to tbe the same color of one of my workout shirts. Guess which one I grabbed? It was wear it, or don’t train. So I wore it, but I had people in stitches.

lol its in our basement…we just have a fold out bed down there…and alot of mess…

I am not even close to a physique lifter so go easy on me. Took this December 1st so I guess it counts.
21 years old
5’7" (on a good day)
225lbs this morning.

Picture is avi. Weighing around 183 at 6’2". Leaner then the last thread in August, just trying to get bigger now. Shoulder injury has made last 2 weeks of lifting not stellar, but recently hit a 315x6 below-parallel Squat, so I’m moving in the right direction. Hopefully I’ll look a bit bigger come the March/April check in.

And here’s the crap angle/lighting/posing back picture I always take lol

^ I already knew we were the same height and both do swinging lateral raises but

from what I can see your facial structure is like mine (I’m a light skinned indian)
and we both have dirty mirrors

tnation twins…

Thank you. I went from 240 lbs to 199lbs. In no particular order here is most of how:

-I stopped frowning

-I tracked calories and macros through livestrong.com

-I carb/calorie cycled, with high carbs on training days, low on non. Every day had carbs/protein for breakfast no matter what. I won’t kickstart my day without carbs, its not worth it.

-I aimed for under 2200 calories on nonworkout days. Workout days I tried to keep it under 3000. As long as the calories met those guidelines, I considered it a successful day. Inside of that, training days were protein/carb meals only. Non training days were protein/fat only, save breakfast. Carbs were usually under 100 on low days, and over 250 on high days.

-Once a week I allowed myself to have a 4000 calorie day, consisting of anything I wanted. All pizza if needed. I usually pigged out for one meal, then felt guilty and was good for the rest of the day.

-I trained 4 days a week, usually around 9 or 10pm. Monday=Chest/Tri, Tuesday=Back/Bi, Wednesday=Rest, Thursday=Shoulders/Arms, Friday=Rest, Saturday=Legs, Sunday=Rest.

-I kept most sets between 2-6 reps.

-I did 30 min. of elliptical, fasted, after a cup of coffee, 2-3x a week. I only did this for the first month or so.

-I cooked once or twice a week, filling several large tupperware containers with food, as well as individual meal sized containers for grab and go. 90% of my meals were microwaved.

-I chewed gum all day long. Fights hunger, burns calories. Strengthens your jaw too.

-I allowed myself to have a few light beers before bed on low carb days , as long as I had calories left to eat at night. 2 light beers at 100 calories a piece, with only a couple carbs, went a long way towards keeping the keel steady.

  • I spent 15 minutes every night after the gym before showering, posing in the mirror. I consider it NEPA.

-I always worked out in a tank top and shorts. No matter what shape I was in, It helped to look in the mirror and see small changes while working out. I could never get the same motivation while looking at myself in a sweatshirt.

-I changed my ipod mix constantly, wore it every workout.

thanks for that, that was really interesting

Thank You Sir!

You’re shredded as fuark in your avi man, very excellent!

I would like to give a T-Nation shout out, to fellow T-dude at my gym, who entered and won a physique transformation contest.

Trains is his ass off, all while wearing the same scummy “Alpha Male” t-shirt.

I don’t believe he is a poster in the forums, but he KILLED it.

I think that’s awesome. There’s a dude at my gym who has been training and competing in the local NPC BB comps, and you want to be glad for him, but he is such a douche, that you just want him to go away.

and, he aint that big, and dont push near enough weight to be such a douche.

whateves~
