NASA is single ply
So’s USAPL…
Well, im not by any means knocokcing zep, but NASA is way smaller than USAPL so contention on those records and comps is alot less than USAPL, but maybe theres other reasons he is in NASA like distance, timing and want not.
If hes anything like me he competes in ANY fed just to compete, Im entering an SSA meet in 2 omnths and if you aint on powerliftingwatch.com at all you wont even know what that is lol…to OP GREAT numbers at your age, i pulled 405 at 16 football season, 455 at 17 senioor year football season, and I can now pull over 500 at 18 so your easily on your way
NASA has a meet in my home town. I compete in the WHSPA (affiliate of usapl).
181 DL record:
A. LYONS D - 590 3-02 HORLICK
198
J. BERGMANN D -600 3-96 HORTONVILLE
220
N. PETERSON D - 610 3-99 SUPERIOR
The NASA record will be a stepping stone before I can go for the WHSPA record. I need to add over 165 pounds to my deadlift to break this record.
That doesn’t mean I won’t be trying to as a senior. I have a long ways to go.
yeah, i didnt want to jump the gun and say yo were cruisin for just the smallest records tyo beat, cause im competing in weird ass feds just cause its not 4 hours away lol…your doing really good keep it up[/quote]
I realise this. I typed wisconsin powerlifting records into google and the nasa page came up. I figure since I can break that record relatively quickly it would make a great short term goal.
I will deffinately be going for the big record my senior year. Since I can use a 1ply sq/dl suit in WHSPA are singel ply deadlift suits even worth it? what kind of carryover could I expect? I’m probably going to lift at 220 as a senior. Cutting just blows ass, and the record difference is minimal.
