Can anybody enlighten me as to the difference in execution between these Good Mornings and Romanian DL when done with DB. I have used both of these exercises with a BB quite happily but an unsure how to position the DBs to achieve the difference in the exercise.
Since there is no real way to place a pair of dumbbells onto your shoulders comfortably and safely I’d say the two exercise become very, very similar. It doesn’t matter though, they pretty much target the same muscles (lower back, glutes, hamstrings) anyway.
A Good Morning is a Good Morning because it’s a barbell on the shoulders vs in your hands.
Therefore, a dumbbell “Good Morning” is a dumbbell SLDL/Romanian, but NOT vice-versa.’
