Since everyone has pussyied out of the 80kg/185lb to OH challenge.
Ive got a new one.
40kg/88lb DB from floor to overhead… max reps in 60 seconds.
I got 18 today and i was wreaked at the end.
BEAT ME!

impressive mix of strength and endurance! Is that all you did on the day? Or was this your finisher? 18 each arm? Or total?
18 total…
before this i had benched heavy for some triples and doubles, done a DB run (2 reps per arm) 32->36->38->40->45->50
Then this…
Then hit lots a nd lots of medly work. Just a big all round GPP session after the heavy benching.
thosebananas
how much you weigh?
strict press or push?
floor to overhead… any means.
I muscle snatched 17 of them and C+P one.
I weigh 150kg/330lbs @ 6ft atm.
i am all for challenges of any sort. i weigh 150#'s… can i use the same % of weight you use, or do i have to use 88#'s
i think the fact i weight 330 has nothing to do with it…
Its a conditioning exercise, not a strength exercise. I should be a lot more unfit than a lot of you light men.
Strongman dont account for your weight either which is the sport a train for.

Agreed on that one, haha it would be about 40lbs if you weigh 150.
thats the part that i dont get…shouldnt there be weight classes? not fair for a conditioned pro cyclist like myself to try and do 88#'s on a one arm dumbell press.
if this is a true strongman challenge, make the weight 150#'s… those guys on tv never mess with 88 pounds…
shouldnt i lift 1/4 of my bodyweight like the OP?
how do you make contests like this fair?
just curious…
thanks
quit your whinging.
Its not a DB press, its floor to overhead. If your so conditioned and “pro”, then you should have no problem snatching/muscle snatching a 40kg DB.
Im a “amateur” strongman and i can do it
The Pro’s lift 200lb db’s btw I compete in the 175lb class in strongman the lightest class there is my next comp has a 150lb db for reps.
I don’t see why a challenge posted up on the internet by someone has to be fair. It does seem a bit more like a strongman challenge though. If its pure conditioning it would probably need a longer time limit.
i could have went for 2 mins. 1min was too short…
i just happened to mention, i did this and would like to see what others can do.
Its a challenge? thems the rules… if you dont like it, dont do it.
ok fat ass… 330 #'s… i’m not “whinging” …i’ll do my best…
LOL, lets up the weight to a 150# DB
i got 21 with 1/4 of my bodyweight like the OP

I would if we had one.
Biggest we have is a 50kg/110lb bell. Ive done that for 18-20 from the shoulders in 75 seconds.
pound for pound i’m stronger than you. i got more reps with the same % of bodyweight lifted as you. isnt this the way you figure out who is stronger?
