Man I do not know what the deal is but it is incredibly difficult to research advice on cutting stacks. Most forums are so full of shills and lab ads, and I don’t even know what’s up with google but I can’t get anything relevant.
Anyway I generally keep things simple, I run Test C and Tren A both on my bulks and my cuts. I’ve tried Anavar multiple times (up to 75mg a day) but never noticed a significant benefit. Maybe bad gear but my Test and Tren are legit so I have always trusted the supplier.
It seems clen really isn’t that effective and a bit dangerous, Win and Mast from what I can tell are more for contest prep and don’t provide any real fat burning or long term lasting benefits, more for aesthetics, is this accurate?
So in short, I’m kind of stuck, I just cannot ever get rid of the last bit of belly fat that hides my abs when I cut I always hit a wall that no level of calorie defecit seems able to overcome without drastically reducing my overall muscle and really damaging my bulk gains. I want to finally really maintain my gains and knock all that stubborn fat out this time around.
Gear will not help you lose body. It will absolutely help preserve lean body mass while one is in a deep cut.
Age?
Lowest bf that you have achieved and what was your diet, cardio and gear usage?
A healthy male on a decent diet, training and modest cardio plan should never pass 15% body fat at any point in the year. I’m saying this, as most dude think that they will need “x” number of weeks to get very lean(8% or less), and it typically takes twice that long due to the underestimation of their starting body fat.
I’d like to see two different pics if you have them.
A standing shirtless semi tensed pose at your bulked weight.
And the same pose when you were at your lowest body fat.
A lean look is achieved primarily through an effective diet. Your genetic gift or curse of how your fat is distributed is a huge help or curse depending on your DNA.
The AAS help you to keep muscle as you drop fat. They do not help you drop fat. (For bodybuilding competitors “dry” AAS the last 5 to 6 weeks out from the show better allows you to hold less water under your skin.)
So essentially what you guys are suggesting is that there really is no such thing as a “cutting stack”? The last thing I came across as a recommendation was Primobolan which I hadn’t heard of before.
I am 45, and typically get down to 8% on a cut (according to the machine at the gym, seems like a decent machine, it breaks down fat/muscle ratios by left arm right arm, left leg right leg, and torso) but my stomach just always continues to protrude and my abs are never that pronounced.
I obviously can’t provide a photo of myself in identical poses cut and bulked but here’s a photo that represents me pretty well after a cut. But of course I’m flexing/sucking in my stomach for the photo. Not sure how this is relevant to giving advice on a good cutting stack but anyway there it is
When “cutting stack” is used by competitive bodybuilders it actually means taking AAS with no edema side effects. To most gym bros it means taking AAS while trying to look cut. So the term definitely exists, because gym bros use it.
When I used a AAS distinction I called it a wet stack or a dry stack.
OK, well I do want to avoid anything that is strictly for appearances without long term benefits. I’m just looking to maximize fat loss and minmize muscle loss
You have nice fat distribution. This isn’t a waistline problem.
I have two thoughts. One you can work on. The other, not so much.
Train your abs like you do your other muscle in order to build more ab muscle mass. Flex your abs several times a day. A friend of mine had his finger tips touching his abs and feeling for the separation. He had bold abs with deep separation. I did that some too.
You could have a thick abdominal sheath that makes your abs look shallow. Boyer Coe had the worst case of that for being an extremely good bodybuilder. Cuts and definition everywhere, but no abs.
Meh, it’s probably more a matter of math and not compounds/diet. How are you determining your calories in/out?
There was a study done where guys went on a 40% (I think) diet and some used 200mg of Test and some didn’t. The ones who did lost no muscle and a couple gained some muscle. On a 40% deficit. Moral of the story a small amount of Test should be enough to hold onto muscle while dieting for a 6-pack.
Wow, if this is true then it seems like it would be a total waste to be doing any kind of stacks at all. Why do you think people doing stacks during cuts is so common if it doesn’t yield benefits?
It is beneficial when prepping for a bodybuilding contest. I would start a AAS cycle at the start of prepping for a contest 12 weeks out from the show. Not everyone is as fortunate as I was, but I would lose fat while reclaiming the muscle mass from previous AAS cycles (while “off cycle” I would lose a fair amount of muscle.) I would get progressively stronger the first half of my 12 week cycle. The last 6 weeks I just tried to hold onto the muscle as I continued to cut.
BUT, AAS has no effect on fat loss. The diet dictates the fat loss. Simply put, the AAS allows you to better keep your muscle as you lose fat.
Once again, the stack is not related to fat loss. Some AAS have more water retention than other AAS. If you stack “dry” AAS you have less water retention. It only takes one AAS of the stack to be a “wet” AAS to present you with water retention concerns.
All the above that I wrote mainly concerns competitive bodybuilding. It is all about that day on the stage. You want to be big, cut, and dry between the muscle and skin.
People take a ton of gear while dieting because they have no idea what they are doing.
The only time you need gear if you diet correctly is when your 7-8%bf. At that point you will prob start to burn muscle and that is not a sustainable leanest to be at.
