Cuting Weight, Building Muscle in Afghanistan

So I’m out here in Afghanistan and trying to cut some weight (safely) and build some muscle. I’m also trying to take avantage of the fact I’m about 8,000 ft above sea leave and wanting to train a little harder than our normal PT.

However I’m faced with a few challenges. For starters we only have 2 Bowflex machiens and a few cardio machiens thats it. I was also told by a friend that I should try M1 BOL and M-17 BOL. After reading some reviews about Fizogen (they make M1 and M-17 BOL) I’ve changed my mind.

What would be some good suggestions for a muscle builder? And is it really worth taking anything if all I can do is use a bowflex and some cardio equipment? Thank you for your advice in this matter.

one of the questions you should really be asking is “can I progress with a Bowflex?”, and I’d say that depending on the movements that it allows, how much load it can provide, and your current level of development, a Bowflex would be fine given the circumstances.

the other question is “can I eat enough to add load/intensity to the movements available to me over time and weight on the scale?”. if the answer is no, then gear won’t help you as much it could. I don’t know much about gear, but others have said that taking them orally is a waste of money and time compared to injecting them.

Plenty of good stuff in these articles…
