Cut-to-(Clean)Bulk Transition

Hello Coach,

I’ve been following your training programs for around 10 months now, and without a doubt getting my best results after the newbie phase. So I’d really like to hear your opinion in particular on this one, even though it has been asked before (not to you, though?). I actually have two questions, one general, one specific for me:

  1. What’s the proper method of transitioning from a cut to a clean bulk, in order to avoid excessive fat gain? How much of a caloric surplus is really needed for a clean bulk?

  2. I’m a 2A, and in the last 10 months I’ve ran (in order) the following programs: BDW, Power Look, Layer System (made phenomenal body comp changes during these 3 programs) and Destroying Fat (for a first time in a couple of years, finally didn’t need a long cut - was fairly lean to begin with). My strong points are back, chest and delts - legs and arms are a bit behind. Do you have any suggestions for an optimal program for me to follow now, during a new (muscle) mass gain phase?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Best,

Danilo
