Body stats 6’2 and 268lbs. I’m currently running my first cycle of test e 350 mg per week. I’m roughly 30% percent bodyfat. Would I see better results going into a small deficit or eating just above maintenance.
I wish you the best, but getting your body fat below 20% should be the top of your list.
You didn’t mention your age or years that you have lifted weights. Are you what is considered strong?

No offense dude but at that body fat you have no business using drugs. Stop now and get in shape and make your first cycle worthwhile.
Learn how to eat and how to train properly. You’re asking for all sorts of issues if you continue.
Under no circumstances would I start using steroids if I were at 30% bodyfat.

To be honest I would like to put on a moderate amount of muscle and then go into a pretty aggressive cut.

The weight you are putting on is water. Get your body fat down to 12% or so and work on proper diet in the meantime.
You are putting much undo strain on your body/organs. You are subject to high blood pressure along with rapid estrogen conversion which are both detrimental to you health.
Steroids should be used to gain muscle when you are in proper condition to do so. The only reason they should be used in a caloric deficit is by a competitor that is trying to retain muscle in a steep/unsustainable caloric deficit.
My suggestion to you would be to stop what you’re doing. Recover. Start a training and diet log so you can get on the right path.
If you keep going down this road you are gonna but on a ton of fat and be worse off than you are now.
Why not do the reverse? Being at 30% bodyfat and that high of a bodyweight in general is going to make putting on a moderate amount of muscle difficult, even with chemical assistance.
I will take your advice and come off and pct. I will try to get down below 20 % bodyfat and then consider starting again.
