First cycle opinions

34 years old and 268lbs. I have been lifting 3.5 years. I’m currently 4 weeks into my first cycle of test e 350mg per week and have put on about 8 lbs. Should I stop my cycle now and try to get to a lower bodyfat.

Refer to your other thread for my thoughts on this.

I am more interested in how much your major compound lifts increased.

Bench is up 20 lbs

I suppose I need to be clearer:

Before weight and reps
Current weight and reps

Are you done? Did you hit your goals? Is your blood work horrible?

Your hormone levels just reached peak concentration meaning this is when you’ll start to make gains. Imo u should run at least 16 weeks or at minimum 12

I hear these recommendations frequently on T-Nation. Okay, that is just half of the answer. How many weeks off before the next cycle?

You’ll get varying responses…but I recommend at least 12 weeks off. But if you’re going to go on cycle at these frequencies you might be better off to go on TRT doses when you’re off cycle, rather than PCT 3 weeks after each cycle and then go natural till your next one. A TRT dose would typically be between 80-140mg a week (most people 100 or 120mg/wk).
Good luck!

I was advised that at my bodyfat percentage I should stop cycle and pct.

I was told being around 30% bodyfat that I should stop my cycle and lose more weight before trying to cycle again.

That is typically the best advice.

I asked you to indicate how much stronger you had achieved thus far. You said your bench press went up 20lbs, but you neglected to explain further. Was 20lbs a 10% improvement on a 1 rep maximum?

If I had been watching you in the weight room, I would know vastly more than “20 lb increase.” And I could better advise you of my opinion.

I would much prefer to know “before” and “after” lifts and in the 5 to 10
rep range. I would like to get the sense if you are “strong” or relatively weak.

My bench press on incline went from 275 for 4 reps to 295 for 4. Almost every lift has increased by 10lbs and that is in the 8-12 rep range.

I feel stronger the only side effects I noticed that was negative was sensitive nipples somewhat sore to the touch

Thanks. You should make all strength in a like fashion.

IMO, continue the AAS cycle for at least 8 weeks, If your strength increase rate drops where you have gone two straight weeks without an increase, drop the cycle.

You wouldn’t be concerned with my high bodyfat percentage

I would watch for side effects. Everyone is different.

And what are you doing to combat this?

I have and armidex on hand but since I’m stopping the cycle I was going to hold off on taking it.

If your nips are sensitive i would take 1mg x 3x/wk for 2 weeks to get that down. You don’t want to develop gyno.
