Sorry to hear about your grandmother Mike. Who’s kids are you going to watch play sports here? Better watch out, the fiancee might get baby fever if youre not careful, haha.
Haha all the kids I go to watch are Katie’s students. I don’t think she’s in any hurry as she has to deal with 24 of them every day.

Haha, be careful man. Never underestimate the power of baby mode.

Well no lifting again yesterday :frowning:

Had to stay home and take care of Katie and with all the stress I needed another day off.

Tonight is bench work with my bench shirt. Wed is off, thur is deadlift, friday is speed bench with chains, sat is off, sun is squat day.

On Sunday’s I train in a home gym with a monolift and a bunch of other GREAT equipment. Sunday training mornings are by far my favorite training days. First I love squatting, second I get to see my other friends from lifting (Andy, Kate [lady who owns the equipment]), and third I get to use a kick ass monolift.

Well my fiancee is now in the hospital for her appendix…

Off to the hospital.

(She’s in a CT scan now for it)

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, may she rest in peace. And hope your fiancee gets better soon.

Hope Katie starts feeling better man.

Iv heard talk about squatting at Kate’s place…Im guessing you know Erin and Eric from up there? They squatted with me last saturday.

I think my rowing days are behind me. I learned the hard way once already not to mix powerlifting and rowing. Haha I’m in no hurry to break my back again

Plus, cardio freaken suck :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t miss that erg one bit.
I’m just coaching right now mainly hence why I was at the hooch but we threw an alumni 4 together for shits and giggles. Other then the fact that we were out of shape it wasn’t too bad. Still had better technique and ratio then any other 4 I saw out there (granted we were racing club 4 and not champ/open).

I know what ya mean about the powerlifting and rowing. I’m givin DC training a try right now and erging would definitely inhibit my recovery so I just had to explain to the erg that I would no longer be visiting it. I’m not gonna lie it was one relationship I was glad to break off.

Jeese you’ve got a lot going on right now CP. That’s what the weights are there for though right?

So Katie was able to eat some soup today…first food in 4 days. Her weight is down to 95lbs right now :frowning:

Her appendix is OK, but they don’t know what it is yet. They took blood for tests but her weight was down so much she passed out from it.

At least her stomach medicine is kicking in and she can get some food in her. Hopefully things will start to turn around today.

I was able to bench last night after she went to sleep. Nothing great of course but got a lot of shirt work in.

Not sure who Eric is and I never met Erin but Nash used to train her I believe. So I know of Erin.

You know it man. Last night I snuck off to the gym to clear my head when Katie fell sleep. My mind wasn’t totally on the weights but I was able to stop worrying about her for about an hour.

I need to get some shirt work in. I cant get mine right without Dwayne there to help me.

I need no less than 2 people to help me get my shirt on because the arms are too small on it. The chest plate is the correct size but to get the chest plate correct I had to get a shirt meant for someone with a good inch to an inch and a half smaller arms that I have lol

I am just incapable of getting my seated correctly, haha.

Holy crap CP, that’s some serious dedication you got there, to make time for the gym with all that going on. My condolences to you and your family on the passing of your grandmother.

Thanks man, it’s greatly appreciated!

I’m just trying to do my best to keep things moving in the correct direction.

Well Katie is now eating whole foods and sitting upright! This is a big improvement from her previous condition.

Last night I did deadlifts.

4 sets of 3 reps with 350
1 set of 6-7 reps with 350 (I can’t remember the exact number)
1 set of 1 with 405 (easy)

Then I did 3 sets of 10 on seated cable row and neutral grip pull-ups.

Also did 3 sets of 10 on preacher curls super-setting narrow grip (10 reps) then wide grip (10 reps) as one set.

Finally I did some calves and abs.

I did squats on Sunday.

Did doubles up to 380 where I did 3x1 rep.

Felt pretty good given that I was dog tired for some reason. Possibly stress related. I went into work on Sat. to make up for the lost time during the week due to the fiancees sickness.

She is all better now luckily and back at school teaching her kids. The weekend was a good one overall, I hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Did a bunch of back and bicep work last night. Most of it was back though.

Gotta get my back stronger not only for the deadlifts, but so I can support heavier squats.
