Hi all!

A little background. Used to love lifting heavy things. Trained 5 days a week for 7 years. Never anything to serious or planned out just loved the weight room. Saw moderate results and had “some” strength. Graduated college and got a desk job.

Been at the job for almost 3 years now. When I started I still tried to hit the weight room and made it in 2-3 days per week. That lasted maybe 3 months since then I have done literally nothing. Weight increased about 60 lbs (will update later), generally feel more shitty and not to impressed by myself.

That’s the entire point of this thread, not sure why but I got a kick in the ass this weekend and decided to do something about it. Using this site to track progress/up accountability.

Hello, glad you found me. Update on my progress, strength gains are nice (bench up to 225X6x3) not near where I was but getting there. Squat has always sucked staying real right and working on form. I have an issue with leaning forward which may be a lower back weakness problem.

Weight when started 2 weeks ago- 267 Weight this morning- 260

Off day yesterday Walked/Jogged 3 miles with the pup.

Hopefully Mr. Mallory will follow would be nice to use this as a discussion for all of us. Three Amery boys trying to be less weak!

Chief has been doing good on 5/3/1 and if he posted ppl could help keep him in line rather than me nagging him

Solid weight loss big man. And for the forward lean it’s almost always mobility issues. Hip and ankle will be bad. Look up supple leopard/San fransisco crossfit channel on youtube to get some ideas for mobility things

Great Push workout last night. Man I am weak right now! Sore this morning. Weights to follow, very minimal food intake lately, haven’t been hungry at all. Been eating a large salad for lunch and protein bar for supper. Energy has been really weird. Extremely out of control energetic in the morning yet at around 7-730 pm kind of crash, until the pre workout kicks in. Weird!

Well, was up early this morning. Lifting was poor but got it in. Probably shouldn’t have had cocktails last night! I keep on forgetting my log so numbers will be up eventually.

I would agree. I feel like that is more of a problem than anything. You can eat like a champ all day then F it up in an hour. Anyways, got myself involved in a weight loss competition/bet, I have till Oct 1 to lose as much weight as possible. LETS GO!

Cut those drinks out to earn dat money. Motivation is good. Use it. Think about it when you want to slip

Little Beach muscle workout with my buddy and his Gf this weekend. Man I am week but felt nice to be in there. Weight is down to 258.8, ultimate goal is down to 235 by September. Currently just easing into things so not really keeping track of weights at the moment just letting the body get used to the grind for a week or two! Pull workout tonight, my favorite workout of the week!

It is pretty simple, lots of people with a lot of knowledge. You should start your own thread as well, it is really nice to keep track of peoples progress and keep people accountable!

Family affair in here

Well I would start one but the truth is I really don’t know how ha…I was going to ask both of you what to do about tendinitis in my right elbow. My left arm is completely fine, but my right elbow area hurts like hell when I bend it. I iced it yesterday, but don’t really know what to do…or do I just work through it?

Stop being a pussy. I used to have the same issue but it was because I flared my arms and had subpar form. Probably a better question for Mr. Med Student Bergren then me lol

Ice yes better form yep. And go to mobilitywod and look for elbow and shoulder fixes. Most likely over use issue with poor form

Why would it only be one elbow that hurts?

Mostly missing mobility in one side causing an odd loading pattern and or compensation

21 minutes on the elliptical (fat loss program). 5 Minutes on treadmill at 7 incline…Good day to fat right now for the treadmill!1

Get at it boys. On a side note, not near as sore as I should be today, could be the creatine I am taking because I am getting an insane pump…Beast Creature, good stuff!
