creatine measurements

Sorry to post a stupid question, im new to the creatine thing, i have read about the amounts i should take per day, and in the loading phase, now here is the silly question, how can i measure by gram, how much creatine powder i am using per drink?
if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated

usually the little scooper that comes with the creatine is 5 grams, but double check to be sure. Also you might want to do a quick search about loading. I think it was on t-mag that some were talking about loading being a waste of time and money! What brand have you chosen?

I got Prolab creatine, and am now looking in the bottle for a little scooper. I will look into the search about loading, im getting confused though, i read some things saying loading is good, and some say it is not.

If you read that previously mentioned article you’ll find that loading isn’t needed. As for scooper size, 1 teaspoon equates to 5 grams. At least that’s what it says on the side of my creatine bottle, the bastards were too cheap to put in a scoop of their own

Sorry, thought Cappx had mentioned the article by name. It’s The Naked Truth: Dangerous Creatine by David J. Barr. Issue 295

Stick a fork in there and move it around - you’ll find the scoop! Works well for protein powder jugs, too.

Yeah, look for that article - no need to load.

Hey, Milton. A lot of us on the forum are pretty precise about our diet and even weigh/measure what we eat. I have a little $30 digital postal scale that weighs in tenths of an ounce and in grams, both, that I use.

You can get one at an Office Depot or Staples if you ever decide to get precise and dial in your diet. I wouldn’t get a scale just for measuring creatine, though. (grin)

yeah I have a digital scale too, works wonders in measuring out my greens…vegetables that is.
