I just started taking creatine monohydrate. I’m not loading or anything like that (because I heard by many people this wasn’t necessary, more of a marketing scheme), I plan on taking it 1 tsp a day, 2 tsp on workout days. I don’t plan on taking any the first week of every month (I heard it was a good idea to cycle like 3 weeks on 1 week off).
I was wondering what you guys think of this plan? Is it the right way to take it? Am I taking enough? or too much? I’d like to hear some opinions.
I was also wondering about alcohol consumption while taking creatine. I’m not asking what are alcohols effects on workout progress and things of that nature (I’m aware that drinking alcohol can only be detrimental to progress.) I’m basically mostly curious about whether its safe to get trashed on the weekend while on creatine lol. I figure it wouldn’t be to bad on my kidneys or anything like that because I’m only taking like 11 tsp a week. But I’d like to hear what you guys think? Safe or not? Any of you guys take creatine and still get drunk once or twice a week?
