G day t blokes and vixens, I tried a search on cramp and all i came up with was hip flexor, hamstring, calf and ab cramps. My problem is that I cramp up in my middle back on the left hand side when ever I go to do singles or triples on the squat.
It feels really uncomfortabe. I’ ve likened it too somebody shoving a crow bar through my ribs and trying to shimmy me open. Bananas unfortunately are an unlikely option due to cyclone Larry Bananas are now retailing for a bout $1.99 each.
What I hope is that maybe somebody could help me understand why my body is being weak how to bring it up and or stretches etc. I thank you for your time happy and hard training cheers.

Got a medicine ball, basketball, or football (soccerball)? If you do, try rolling on that until you can get a foam roller. Do it shirtless so the ball doesn’t slide around.
You may need to check your form on squat as well. Something could be putting some pressure on your back like forward lean or even tilt, if you aren’t lowering/raising evenly. I would also suggest mixing in some good mornings (start light) to maybe bring up your spinal erectors a bit.
