COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

That’s what Italy is doing,…you cannot dine indoors without a vaccine passport

Stop, introducing common sense at a time like this could challenge others’ worldview!

That’s the case over here too. However, government jobs are on legal grounds to fire employees lacking a vaccine passport, and employees have no recourse in the form of being able to fight back or even file for unemployment.

I think that is consistent thinking.

One day, the Conservatives shall rise again. Unfortunately, people seem to think we’re all anti gay, black, trans, non-christian

I just like to be able to do what i want without a governing body being there to tell me if it was okay or not :man_shrugging:

Conservative vs. Republican. Republican party is guilty IMO, of going overboard on the evangelical Christian values thing. Republican doesn’t equal conservative though. Personally, I think the Republican party would be a lot more palatable without the strong evangelical Christian influence.

I guess, I’d like a government were basically all liberties are granted that don’t impact others negatively, but also has stuff like a social safety net (size and scope can be debated), public roads, education, defense, police…

So I’d say I am libertarian for rights, but a bit left for government programs.

If you haven’t already, it’s usually a good bit of insight to take the Political Compass test. I took one a few weeks back and was pretty much right where i thought i’d be at (1.5, -1.5) libertarian right, or conservative as it were.

Cant have a modern society without govt, but cant have freedom with TOO MUCH govt. pretty straight forward if you ask me

I took it. I was in the green square. More Libertarian than Left.

Edit: I figured out how to make a dot on the graph. Not sure if this was the exact spot, but I remember only being a bit left of center, but quite a bit down on the vertical axis.

Ohh, you’re one of those

JK, no opinion is wrong so long as a middle-ground can be reached. Unless you’re whatever Hillary considers herself. That is the ONLY wrong political affiliation.

I find in general, I can have really good discussions with people in the green or purple squares. I have a difficult time with the red and blue squares. I have a tough time understanding people who want authoritarian government. I was always a rule questioner and breaker though. Got asked not to return to public school after kindergarten as I didn’t follow rules. Maybe some people are just more inclined to listen to leadership and not question things?

I am strictly apolitical because I know that every politician who takes office is lying to the general public in order to secure a fat paycheck for the next two decades. Democrat, Republican, doesn’t fucking matter.

Both parties are guilty of dangling the proverbial carrot in front of their voter base, never following through on their promises, and - can’t forget this part - inciting violence in the streets by promoting disunity among different ethnic groups of people.

Dangerous opinion, I know. The thought police will be knocking on my door any day now…

I’ll stop “dealing with semantics” just as soon as anti-vaxxers stop using semantics to obfuscate.

Oh, that one’s easy to address: Yes. Yes, the govt has that ability (in America). I am not a lawyer, but am given to understand this is black-letter law.

If it ever was, it won’t be much longer.

Don’t count on it. Even this radical Supreme Court will be reluctant to strike down precedent that has stood for 200+ years.

I’ve never even entertained the thought of getting the flu vaccine, since I haven’t been sick in years. (insert obligatory knock wood)

I’m currently seeking the easiest possible way to get the booster, since I’ll be visiting friends in a couple weeks who I know would appreciate the fact I’m “fully vaccinated” etc.

I feel like I need to post an obligatory rant here about it, but I simply can’t muster up the energy, or the fcuks given.

200 years? What case are you referring to?

I’m confident a lower court will strike it down and the Supreme Court won’t hear the appeal.

I can’t be bothered to take the test again but I’m somewhere here:

I did post my first test pic somewhere here actually but I’m also too lazy to go find it lol.

How can you be fully vaccinated if you’ve

?

I hope you realize the irony in being 100% predictable.
