Core Training

ok im new here and i was wondering what are some good exercises to work your core muscles, i know i can do knee raises,crunches, and overhead squat to help bur what else is ther to help work out your core muscles. any help is greatly appreciated.

Use the search function!But don?t read thinks her without thinking about them!When i read the Core articles on this side there are many faults!Mike Robertson for example writes about the stabilizing function of the abdominals for proper spine function!A strong rectus abdominis leads to an increased kyphosis and therefore destabilizes the spine!

To train abs in flexion execises like crunches is one of the wrongest things you can do!You have to train the abdominals in full extension and mainly isometric and eccentric!They support the lordosis when the body is fully erected not when the spine is flexed!

Another point is that all of the herniated discs have a dorsal damage!That means that the nucleus is forced in the direction of the back not into the direction of the abdominals!But if you go into Kyphosis you open up the dorsal vertebrae and so you increase the risk for injury!

Plus Robertson claims that a full lordosis and a slight anterior pelvic tilt leads to back problems compared to a neutral pelvic tilt!This one really makes me mad!!!

In my experience every person who has a neutral pelvic tilt or has a posture which shows a kysphosis is likely to suffer from back pain!It destabilizes the spine and opens up the space between the vertebra!This is why all the people who are sitting all day suffer from back pain!This leads to herniated discs!

I will go into detail in a future post which i will call “The Construction of a healty posture”!By the way there are no studies out there that proof that core training is sensefull!

Lift the heaviest weight you can over your head and walk around.
