Definitely. From what I’ve seen, some folks spend so much time and energy looking for foods that “just aren’t from animals” that they settle for any old thing and stick with it, to the neglect of more healthful options.
This is probably one of the reasons weight-training vegetarians tend to underestimate their calorie intake.Partly out of not investing the really critical time to find a variety of quality protein sources, and partly out of fear of venturing outside the handful of stores or aisles they usually shop at, so they settle on eating the same few foods everyday. That just ain’t the way to get major results.
