It used to take me an hour to knock out all my compound lifts. But as I lift more, I can do the same routine with much more weight in 30-40 minutes, leaving me time to do some accessory work.
I won’t say anything about what, if anything, to eat with a 1-hour break between sessions, as I’ve got to get my own food house in order.

Yeah its not overtraining because 2 a days are great for building strength and mass, along with good nutrition that is. And im doing the right amount of rest, and food intake.

errr… as i understand it, 2-a-days are good with a proper amount of rest in between sessions. this includes, for instance, a program with a workout in the morning and another workout in the evening.
in fact, i’m on a two-a-day program right now, and in order to get appropriate CNS recovery in, i have taken an hour nap after each workout session and separated my sessions by a minimum of 6-or-so hours. (i am only able to do this because i’m on winter break, so i thought i’d make use of my time off).
two workouts with only an hour in between will do little to give your body a chance to rest up after the first workout. at the start of the second workout, you will likely still be glycogen depleted, your energy level will be low, you will be neurologically tired too and thus sluggish, less powerful, etc.
you will NOT be making the most, or even near-most, out of your gym experience.
doing compounds and resting 5-10 minutes before isolation is fine
resting for an hour will cool your body down and make it damn near impossible to really get intense on the isolation movements unless you were a complete pussy doing the compounds
reduce your overall volume (higher weight) and get more isolation in the one hour you do have

I was asking about an in between shake or supplement to use, but not on my over all food intake i know what to eat and however often…damn.

Yeah you say that now, until you’ve been through a 4 hour squat workout with a PL team. My workouts have averaged 2 hours or more for years now. I’m definitely not overtraining.
My two cents says if you take a shake before, during, and then after your first session, an hour later you’ll be able to do the workout without anything, and just take a shake after that. No, now that I think about it that doesn’t sound the way I meant it: I meant use something like Surge–or whatever your shake is (suggest whey, aminos, fast carbs, creatine)–right before and right after your 1st session. Then use another shake for your second session afterwards. Whatever, it’s 5:30am.
