🥇 Community Challenge: Overhead Power Hold

The Prize

First person to film themselves attempting this (pass or fail) gets a free item of T Nation apparel (US48 only).

The Challenge

  1. Use either your bodyweight or 80-90% of your 1RM on the barbell push press.

  2. Push-press the weight overhead and slightly in back of you.

  3. Close your eyes and hold this position for a minimum of 10 seconds.

My body weight is 175 and I couldn’t get a rep but managed 155 but it was ugly .

Awesome.
I usually try to hold the last rep overhead for an extra beat anyway, but 10 seconds sounds like a good idea.

It’s supposed to be done barefoot, bodyweight. :slight_smile: . I actually use Joel’s programs as my base training
