So in a couple weeks I’ll be coming off meltdown training and I’m FINALLY really to start honestly and truly building some muscle, so I’m going to do some bulking.
Anyone have any specific routines they like, either from t-mag or others? I’d prefer a fairly traditional plan (bring the pain looks great, but I’ve not had enough experience with TRADITIONAL movements, so I’m saving this one). I was thinking about the get big routine and adding in two-three days of cardio. I am ABSOLUTELY opposed to gaining fat if at all possible, but I need to build the strength to get to that next step. Might add some MAG-10, but my training age is still very very young.
Why not do IK 12 weeks to super strength and limpimg series together, If I remember right you have some injury/problem that hampered your development? then the IK programs should help overcome these somewhat with their design. If not that then what about the bicep/core stuff from Don Alessi?
Just an observation: in my humble experience, guys who are “fat-phobic” (that is, guys who up the cardio and lower calories whenever their abs soften up) have a much harder time building muscle than guys who live with a little fat gain. Just accept that you’re going to smooth out a little while bulking. You can always burn it off later. Good luck.
Heh, if I ever SEE my abs, THEN I’ll worry about em softening up. I can see where my abs will be eventually though.
I’m not worried about putting on a few pounds, just keeping it at a minimum with some High intensity cardio a couple times a week.
Hyphnz - I have some joint problems that mostly manifest themselves as having ZERO grip. While I have been able to improve it bit by bit over the last few months, the bottom line is I will be doomed to use straps forever if I’m doing ANY pull-related upper body movements. Sucks, don’t it?
