What now?

OK, so my cutting phase will be over on August 1st when my friend and I will have our final showdown for our contest that started over 8 months ago.

The contest rules were simple: he who puts on the most amount of muscle and looses the most fat at the end of the contest wins: 1 pound of muscle=2 points and 1 pound of lost fat=1 point

I am currently around 180 @ 9-10% bf. ?I don?t know how much more I will be trying to drop over the next couple of weeks as my friend is behind me in terms of results and since I?m still pretty scrawny, I don?t really want to get too low this time around.

So after he buys me my sushi dinner for kicking his ass, what should I do? I have bought my first bottle of MAG10 for my next gaining cycle but I?m not sure what approach to take after my cutting phase. (I have never used anything like MAG10 so I want to make sure everything is perfect when I go for it)

As of now my routine is as follows:

Total body workouts 3 days a week ? cycling from 10X2 for each exercise for 2 weeks followed by 5X2 for two weeks. The intensity throughout the two week period is cycled so that at the end of each two week period I am doing either my 10RM or 5RM for each exercise depending on the cycle.

I do Abs and calves on the alternating days in the morning and I play ?ultimate? two nights a week for cardio.

For the last two weeks I will be switching to Joel Marion?s ?Ripped, Rugged, and Dense? routine outlined in t-mag while keeping the ab and calf stuff the same.

After August 1st I was thinking of switching to GVT for mass building. I think that my priority is to put on some lbm followed by strength.

Questions:

Should I slowly start increasing my food intake over the course of a couple of weeks, then start the MAG10 cycle, or would I see better gains if I were to just jump right in?

Also, for someone like me who still isn?t very strong, is GVT a good way to go, or would I be better off doing a more strength orientated routine? ? Like I said, my focus is lbm but strength is a key factor for me in the long run, and I feel that putting on lbm after a cutting phase will help me with strength down the road.

Comments, questions, suggestions and flames are all welcome.

Of course this is too late but you know by your point system you could have easily just forgotten about losing fat and won by just packing on weight.

Unless for some reason losing fat is easier for you than gaining muscle.

Ok, now back to the topic at hand.
How fast you ramp up your diet all depends on how your body adapts to it. Some peeps can really pack it on quickly without getting fat and others are like me and plump up quite easily with fat…

Ripped rugged dense looks like a nice program.
