Chicks Dig 5/3/1

Are you feeling fresher hitting less heavy stuff as often as before? Are you doing like edt or cat syled training now? After I finish this 531 cycle I think I’m going to do edt

Yes cat style training, and yes I feel a lot better mentally/physically. I wasn’t sure if I believed in the philosophy at first but after a couple times of feeling good that day and working up to my TM and it keeps getting easier and easier every time I’m all in.

If anyone cares the macros are 220 protein 200 carbs 75 fat now w/ 1-2 days of HIIT. Yesterday was a pretty good day food day. It went like this.

Lunch
7 oz chicken breast
1 banana
1 tablespoon butter

I love both of them. I can’t really give BBM a fair evaluation tho because I’ve been losing weight. It’s still a great chance of pace and it’s also extremely flexible.

Hi guy, what do you mean with (115x8)x4?

upright rows for those uptight hoes

It’s just short hand, instead of going
115x8
115x8
115x8

I’ll try and do (115x8) x 4

Good stuff in here.

I just wanted to weigh in on a previous discussion about really putting a ton of emotional investment into their lift.

Yes. I will go as far as to say that I try to save most of my psyching and pumping up for my major set, so I will try not to have a massive energy dump before the gym haha.

Chobbs i never tried shruggin with over/under like you did above. Do you rotate grips or which hand is under each set? Everyone keeps saying that style of grip will give a trap imbalance so when i pull i try not to do over under until my PR set or jokers.

Yes one set I did right under the next left under.

Today did a rough basketball workout with an older guy who’s still a stud. Went like this
-elbow jumpers make 10 after every shot get a half court touch
-wing jumpers…same
-3’s, rotate from wing to top of key to wing…touch half court after every shot
-corner 3’s…same
-lunges all the way around the basketball court

  • Michael Jordan jump squats, basically a half squat that’s explosively done. Not really a fan but went along with it, all sets done in 25 seconds or less…155x20, 165x20, 155x20x 185x12
-shoot 20 3’s at 5 different spots on the court, catch and shoot
-after every drill mentioned, 5 free throws

I went with the single prong prime cut best belt. I figured that I have never seen a turquoise belt, so I went with that to be interesting. I think the forest green color looked awesome as well though. It was a hard decision to make on the color, so I made it quickly haha.

How long did yours take to deliver?
