I went ahead and posted it, I hope your up for 100 burpee’s, pretty sure they would stop my fucking heart around 35, anyway I don’t care one way or the other lorez, just having some fun, during my otherwise boring day later
Hahaha.
I quoted Paul Carter, not Jim.
Who has said two completely different things about the exact same thing:
“Either way is fine. I’ve done 5x20, 4x25, and then also don’t AMAP in each set until 100 as well.”
“100 rep sets - Pretty straight forward. You do 100 reps NON STOP.”
And lol. It’s not like it really matters. It’s assistance work at best.
I tried doing 100 straight curls with a 45lb bar and died. And managed to rest-pause it to like 65 or something.
But last night, I did some light db shoulder presses, got 100 total reps in, and my shoulder pain magically went away for awhile. Feels much better today too.

Thanks trivium I watched the Paul Carter video, and I think at 1;44 and at 2;06 he stops to tell Lorez to get busy with them burpee’s haha the things I finds amusing nowdays, makes me think I should go back to drinking, fighting, and chasing women, atleast they were real hobbies !

Pause squats son!
All squats except for SSB and the 5x5 were paused…light weight but still
I wish I had a ssb…
I suppose it’s a fair trade having 8 of them but having to wait till 6 pm or later to lift.
If I remember I’ll video tape my 100 rep set lol

You’re going to do 100 reps with the SS bar?
That’s hardcore man.
You could do conjugated 100 rep curls.
Next week do straight bar.
The week after you could do buffalo bar.
Add some chains the following week.
Lmao no just straight bar

I was gonna say, today’s only Wednesday.

The only thing to be ashamed of is you actually had to rest 2 minutes.
I envy both the fact that you’re doing overheads and that you can actually train today. Today is a programmed rest day, and I’m feeling pretty restless. I started getting used to working hard every single day, that my 80% day was bad, 70% day was worse, and today is just awful.

My body likes rest days but my mind doesn’t. I know this isn’t the case at all but if I’m not training one day my mental state is “why do you need to fuel yourself if you aren’t training”. So off day eating habits are the worst lol

Does this program recommend you time rest intervals?
No but I figured if I started timing everything it would help be get in better condition for the squatting
I started reading the book last night. Seems to be pretty good. Pretty much the same stuff from his blog.
However, he really really really could have used a good editor. Sometimes he gets sidetracked, skipping over something that he comes back to later… or talking about a diagram that doesn’t exist.

Good book so far.
Ya the book is definitely all over the place, the 2nd and 3rd times I reread some parts is when it finally began to sink in
Kinda think I have food poisoning, the other two people I was with this weekend have the same symptoms and the only thing we all ate that was the same was a carry in pizza. I thought i was just hungover but after the first 3 times I threw up, the squirts, and being felted like someone beat my ass with a 2x4 I changed my mind. Other than getting up for the bathroom I slept from 3 am last night to 6 pm today. I’m just trying to drink some gatorades and try not to shit my pants on the 3 hour drive home lol if anyone has any secret remedies I’m all ears.
