I could literally eat 12k calories from nutella in a day. I don’t think it’d even be hard.

Chocolate of death…
That Saturday is gonna be a shitshow…I can’t wait lol
I said screw it and I’m gonna make the change to Base Building. I’ve ran 5/3/1 for 9 months and loved it and will come back but I wanna do this just to test it. My split will be like this…
Monday
Bench- base building method 1 ( 85% of TM for 1, 75% for 5x8) EDM (everyday max) will be 265
Incline- 350 method (get 50 reps with 3 sets, 2 minute rest)
Dips- 5xamrap
Tuesday
Squat- BBM phase 1 (75%x1, 60% for 5x5 in less than 15 minutes using CAT) EDM will be 335
Deadlift- BBM phase 1 (work up to 80% of EDM and do 5x3) EDM will be 365
Front Squat/ SLDL 5x5/ 4x8 alternate each week
Thursday
Military 4x8
Rear delts 5x20
Upright rows 4x12-15
Triceps 4x25
Friday
Barbell rows 4x8…I’m gonna give these an honest go but if I don’t like them I’m changing
Shrugs 4x20
Chins/Wide Grip pulldowns- 4xmax/ 4x8-10
Curls 1x100
So EDM’s are
Bench=265
Squat=335
Dead=365
When all your weights from a phase feel extremely easy, move to next phase. I’m hoping to run this for the remainder of my cut, then when the time comes I’ll explain what I’m doing.
That looks like a nice change.
Get ready to use pink dumbbells for curling. I somehow thought I could do 100 curls with the bar. Yeah, no.
Yeah that looks good broski. Stick to the bb rows man you’ll get alot out of them if you give them an honest shot. I’ll do the same with front squats ahha.

I was just thinking of curling the bar and doing rest pause sets lol

You don’t realize how much I hate bb rows…but I’ll give them an honest go. The biggest my arms ever were was when I was doing 5x5 on bb rows 2x per week.
"For the love of GOD please do not ask “when should I add weight?” Milk the fuck out of the poundages you settle in with on the bar. Sam Byrd said before he starts adding weight for a meet cycle he stays with 5x5 @ 425 (60%) until he can blast every rep as powerfully as possible. So in other words, just because you get your 3 sets of 8 (you may not at first) doesn’t mean you need to add weight on the bench! I haven’t moved up on front squats in like 2 months. I don’t need to. I’m still milking 275 at this point.
You can constantly be working on moving weights with greater and greater force, until it’s just silly ridiculous. And then, do it for 2 more weeks. This is not a quick run up or peaking cycle. This is BASE BUILDING. You don’t need to add weight every session in order to increase that. Get stronger by learning how to apply more and more force to the weight you already have on the bar. And 60-85% is PLLEEENNNTTTYYYY!!! "
This was on LRB and was exactly what I needed to read to get 100% bought in.

I’m pretty sure the idea is to push yourself to do 100 reps in a single set. Some of his other stuff, like 350, is 3 sets, get 50 reps in… but I’m pretty sure the 100s are literally, pick a weight light enough and do 100 reps with it.
Could be wrong though.
the 100 reps is somthing Paul borrowed or co-invented with Wendler, your suposed to them like 20 rep squats, as long as you still holding the weight, you can rest as long as you want, at various points through out the set. There’s actually a whole article here in the archive’s by Wendler, and it might not mention it in the article, but both Paul, and Wendler, pretty much credit each other, with almost every program they write, and I know in this paticular instance, the idea came from them doing a 3mth challange against each other, kind of what chobbs and I are doing with front squats.--------Nice segway, so Chobbs, what are you doing with the 275x5 front squat, I’ve recently ( in the middle of) changed to a simpler template as well, but I’ve left a spot open at the begining of my squat workout to finish off this 275x5 thing, but I’ll understand if you want to surrender, wouldn’t be the first guy to surrender to me, and beg for mercy ! and hey, new program, makes for a good excuse, haha, anyway I hope that clears things up. I can’t imagine how light you’d have to go Lorez, in order to get 100 straight reps, that sort of be like doing shower curls in the morning, you’d just have to learn how to switch hands at 50
Week 1 Day 1
BENCH
warm up: 135x5, 155x4, 175x3, 195x2, 215x1
working sets: 225x1, 4x8 and 1x7 with 200…every rep paused, I could of went home right now and felt drained.
INCLINE BB w/ 2 min rest
350 method, I thought this was gonna be cake and I would get 50 reps easily…
135x16
135x9
135x7
DIPS 5xamrap
20, 16, 13, 12, 8
LATERALS
3x20 with 10’s
BANDED PULL APARTS
3x20
This program is gonna work.

You’re 100% correct lol I just don’t wanna do curls with a 15 lb barbell

Inspiration, lol. He looks so miserable.
Sorry I was half asleep last night, doing my sleep walking posts, after I’ve had my meds, But here’s a quote and some bullets from 100 rep article. I did this challange, and still to this day end most of my workouts with 100 rep latterals or curls. goodluck !
Wendler :
I’ve used many of these 100-rep exercises during my rehab and over the years. However, it wasn’t until Paul Carter and I took the time to brainstorm about how to incorporate them into a proper training program that it all came together
?You can rest during the 100-rep set but you can’t put the bar down and you can’t make the exercise “easier” during this time (i.e., lying down during a rest period during the sit-ups). If you’re in doubt of what constitutes rest, you’re probably doing it wrong.
?At the top of the front plate raise, squeeze your traps and upper back. Use as straight of arms as possible.
?Karwoski Rows are explained in the Yoke article I wrote for T Nation here.
?Your form will probably get sloppy; that’s to be expected. Still, you must try to maintain some integrity during the set. The weight is light enough that you won’t get hurt, but the point of doing the exercise is to exhaust and annihilate the muscle, not to just get the reps.
?You’ll be sore ? expect it.
?You can rest as much as you want between exercises. Don’t bring a stopwatch ? we’re in the weight room, not on a track.
?You must learn how to relax your mind during these sets ? don’t focus on the pain. You have to learn to dissociate yourself from reality.
?I usually attack the first 50-60 reps without stopping, take a short break and catch my breath (not really), then hammer out sets of 10 reps. This makes it easier to handle, mentally. It also helps greatly if you have someone counting the reps for you. You’ll invariably lose count as your mind starts to wander away from the pain.
You should be able to get 100 reps with a 45lb bar in this manner
Well, but there’s also this
"100 rep sets - Pretty straight forward. You do 100 reps NON STOP. "
From his “Training Methods” page.
Looks like I better go find that 15 lb barbell…
Whatever, it’s Wendler, Why don’t you post this question to him in the 531 forms, haha you’ll get the normal repsonse " It an asistance exercise, who fucking cares’’ LOL, I don’t think it matter’s Lorez, one way or the other, just relax and get some work in. I know from following Paul’s log how he did them, and I know how I do them,
just for fun, Why don’t we make some kind of stupid bet, like the looser has to film themselves doing 100 pink db curls, or 100 burpee’s, or whatever we decide to make the other person do if they’re wrong. I’ll post the question in 531 question board. I don’t care one way or the other, but I like stupid bets, and I like making people do silly things on film, and we all know I have nothing better to do. let me know if your up to it, and I’ll post the question ![]()
I went ahead and posted it, I hope your up for 100 burpee’s, pretty sure they would stop my fucking heart around 35, anyway I don’t care one way or the other lorez, just having some fun, during my otherwise boring day
later
