I don’t know what happen with the front squats…even tho it’s a deload kinda pissed
Edit: Note to self, didn’t foam roll/stretch/lax ball with much effort/time

Whats going on Chobbs, 295 only a week ago, I think it was all the reverse band work the day before. reverse band work makes ya weak all over, proven fact ! haha, my deadlift has always done the same thing, it can go up or down 50lbs one week to the next, and I’ve never been able to figure out why. I can smash 8 reps one week, and then fight like hell to break the same weight off the floor a week later. You got atleast 3 weeks until i’ll be close to 275x5, i’m sure you’ll bounce back.

mabey you just ran out of those secret supps you’ve been keeping from us :slight_smile:

How do you like the slingshot?

I have been hearing good things, but in my gym there seems to be the group of guys who still prefer floor press and close grip.

For clarity, I have never used one.

Looking back at my log I saw the most increase in my bench from high volume assistance (5x6-8) using the SS but I’ve gotten away from it and focused more on paused bench. I still really like it, you do whatever you like but personally I’m really glad I bought the reactive (blue) SS because you still have to really work to move the weight. I’ve only used the original (red) one once but I think it gives you too much pop off your chest. If nothing else, you get to the gym and you’re shoulders/elbows are feeling banged up you can throw it on and still hit something heavy.
So overall,
PROS:
-good for ME PERSONALLY for high rep assistance
-good for if you’re banged up
-you still feel like you’re moving the weight
-I know you don’t do speed work but it’s good for that also

CONS:
-if you get the red one I think it’s useless for someone who cant bench mid 3 to low 4 because of all the bottom pop
-some people say they can’t find a groove with it, I don’t have that problem

OVERALL:
If you have the money and it’s burning a hole in your pocket, I would get one.

Damn lol I needed some protein so I went to buy some and saw a sale 57 servings for $23…scanned the ingredients and the first ingredient starts with “wh” and the tub said isolate so I assumed whey isolate…it was wheat isolate. I’m an idiot.

Thats too funny man. I’ve done similar stuff. Mostly wrong flavours or some type of soy protein bars. To think about it you could probably make some type of bars if you have access to an oven with that crap if it’s not drinkable. It really isn’t that bad…cheap a’f, low sugar/carb/fat, I did some research on it and people’s only negatives where it tasted awful (I didn’t have a problem) and it’s poor bio availability…I think i can make it thru one tub

If you’re going for cheap protonzzz, go the pea/rice mix. Cheaper than whey for me, I feel better on it.

So you’re still using it. That’s cool. I saw some in a store the other day.

After I go through my 6 pounds of whey iso I just bought because the flavor tastes amazing (I started with a pound just to try it, and it lasted all of 4 days), I might give it a shot out of curiosity.

Somehow I ended up with a bucket of Pea, and brown rice protien, it say gluten free, dairy free, and should say taste free, as it taste’s fuckin awfull. Someone gave it to me, one of those I bought this but can’t drink it, but since your a body builder I know you’ll use it. LOL, I’m looking for someone else to give it to, bscause even when I run out I can’t bring myself to drink it. ““Fat Flush–Body protien”” I just went and looked, because it’s the worst thing i’ve ever tasted, and thats sayin alot ! later
