I do them split squat style ( standing ) one arm at a time. I can get quite heavy this way, 3 1/2 plates for a few, because once I get my set reps, I can use my back leg, and get a bounce to get a few more reps, it feels like an exercise with alot of athletic carry over, because it involves the whole body as a unit.
As far as shoulder’s, OHP’s always bother me, due to an old injury ( not training related ) and going heavy on incline, and bench on the same cycle, seems to catch up with my shoulder’s, so I switch to doing light OHP after bench, then use the heavy landmine’s as my main move on my other upper body day, insted of inclines. I do this switch quite often if you follow my log, even a few weeks, seems to get things feeling beter I’ve found.
On the landmine presses, I think it’s a combination, of nutral grip, and fat grip ( end of the bar) it just all feels natural, and I usually super-set with T bar rows, since I’m already set-up ( thats just personal preferance ) but I think you’ll find it a nice break. Goodluck
