Thanks fellas…if you’re bored and have some time on your hands head over to elitefts and check out dave tates bench press manual. I haven’t read it yet but it looks real solid from just a quick skim and it’s free[/quote]

I read it. It is a compilation of his works. A great read.

I recommend his squat manual too.

I am hoping he does a deadlift one too haha.

Great stuff man. I’ve tried to read up on your progress over the past few months and I’ve come to the conclusion that you’re going to catch and pass me on by like I am standing still.

I’d be happy if I was merely at your level lol

Hey, I video’d myself front squtting 225x5 today, pretty terrible, thought you’d get a kick out of it after our exchange, anyway take a look at it, and mabey we should have a little challange for fun, like first one to front squat 250x5 ( clean reps, not like I did today) I got alot going on, training wise right now, just started a smolov cycle, but I think I can sqeeze in a few sets of front squats here and there. I know I got a little weight on you, but once you watch the vid, you should feel pretty confident  it’s a mess, anyway let me know Latter

I like the sound of it…you’re on

Alright, I like these challange’s, they keep me motivated to go out to my cold ass garage in the middle of the winter, and beat the hell out of myself. Should just take up needle point  Latter

Nice conditioning, what kind of grip are you using when you front squat?

@the Flying Fist I tried using what I read on LIft Run Bang from Paul Carter where you take straps around the bar and basically just pull up, idk it’s hard to explain but my 225 set I used a clean grip.

I gotcha, 225x5 is even more impressive with a clean grip, nice work bro. I’ve been doing paused front squats lately and they have really helped my squat/deadlift improve. Try pausing in the hole if you’re feeling froggy

Thanks man ^

250x5 I’m coming for ya…I can’t remember where I heard this but someone said “if you had to squat 405 3 months from today, or you would die, what would you spend the vast majority of your time on?” that’s my approach lol
