Within the next year do a meet at 220…hopefully with a low 400’s squat, mid 4 deadlift and low 3’s bench which is still a non impressive total but I just need to pick a meet to get a date in mind.
Solid plan dude, great target for squat/bench but you better get that deadlift closer to 500! Unless you want me gloating that I can deadlift more than you while being 60lbs lighter. Stay motivated man.

The admins took off my picture it was funny
Had a y league game tonight against the 2nd best team, we popped em. I only had 6 on 3 shots but we all played well. Deload weeks suck. The more I hear about the whole thing of getting pumped up before at least one set per day is bad the more I want to research it…
L HOLDS
3xfail…sternum is about to crack as we speak
just a question have you ever thought about getting rid of some of the bullsh exercises? like here just doing dead bench cg and ssb and some row and getting out of there? thats been helping me a LOTTT lately, im doing some quick pump stuff at the end but its not hard im not sure how high your intensity is on the assistance

This is/was my deload week so I do stuff that I don’t normally do just for shits n gigs…thanks for the reminder though for getting back to my original philosophy of hammering the main lift

Ive seennsome guys switch out a variation for the lift being deloaded and max out and/ or hit some volume.
-instead of bench deload pick overhead/incline/closegrip for max/volume
-instead of dead deload pick sumo/snatchgrip/ powercleanz for max/volume
-instead of squat deload pick front squat/goodmornings/opposite style of squat you train
if I read into your deload complaint correctly maybe this would help…
youd have no idea on maxs so youd go in unplanned and just start hittin 5s then 3s. Then gos for some 1s…
I like this b/c I could at least get something somewhat heavy in…I’ll hit a heavy incline/heavy front squat tomorrow
Chobbs, do me a favor, and let me know if you can see the vid I posted on my log, because I went to alot of trouble trying to figure it out, and Barbwire, said he couldn’t see it, I need to know to try a different format or not. Thanks

I can see it
Try adding some conditioning and cutting out some of the fluff (lateral raises, shrugs, rear dealt raises, etc etc) from your workouts. I’ve noticed you don’t do any MetCon’s or sled push/pull or weighted carry or sprints or olympic lifts or anything like that. Conditioning works.
That wasn’t sarcasm by the way, I can’t front squat my body weight for one, it may be that I’m weak on front squats, but I wasn’t being smart. I was impressed, can’t even give a guy a compliment now days, holy shit, deffensive much and I still think 225x5 is a big squat, I might get 240 for a couple on a good day, thats the reason I said holy fucking front squat, because were pretty much tied on front squats, but I got 100lbs on your back squat, so either your strong on them, or more likely (and thanks for pointing it out) I need to train them more.
On that note, I would never make fun of a guys number’s, were all trying, and we’re all strong compared to somone, and we’re all weak compared to someone, but we’re all in the same fight, to get stronger. I may tease sombody about the lack of effort I think they’re putting in (like I did with you a couple weeks ago) but never someones number’s. There’s a big differance between the two, a friend can point out if your slacking, but we all struggled at a certain point with certain weights. I’m sorry you took it that way, I’ve kicked guys out of my gym for making fun of a kid fighting with a 135lb bench., and I’m not that guy, and a couple weeks ago, I was trying to egg you on to try harder, not making fun of you, or how much you lift. In my mind there’s a big differance between the two. Latter
I do them with my arms crossed, I’ve tried straps in the past, but never felt like I had full control over the bar, i’ve always used front squats as a warm up to back squats, or a way to pump my quads after deads or reg squats. I’ve never actually given them they’re own day, but it looks like somthing I should think about, if I want to keep them comparable to my other lifts, and other lifter’s around here.
I usually go 205x5x5 at the begining or end of a workout, never put any thought into them. I’m not 100% sure I could get 225x5, mabey if I was fresh. When I’m done my smolov cycle, mabey I’ll test my front squat, to see where I’m really at, got me wondering now. latter
