Chicks Dig 5/3/1

It squatted 620@175 in high school. At least that’s what it said.

I do think volume is very important for raw guys. I feel like we need to “make the weight stick” and then “carry it around” for a while.

I’m sometimes a volume whore…especially for back and shoulders

Haha, I made the weight stick around my middle, and I’ve been carrying it around for awhile  but your right, I call it owning a weight, it’s one thing to hit 315 for a 1RM, but it’s different, and better to get it for 6x3, a couple weeks in a row, and know you own it. Either way good stuff Chobbs[/quote]

It is 100% mandatory that you blow up your back at least once a week haha, and that is exactly what I mean.

Plus if you are brutal with your back volume and hold a few heavy deadlifts a week, you practically eliminate the need to do extra grip work.

Deload week blows but it’s great at the same time. I feel like my lower back and legs really need it. Gonna do my deload deads and maybe work up to a heavy 3 or 5 with the slingshot and then some super sets

Cycle 6 week 4 day 1
SLINGSHOT BENCH
185x5
225x5
250x5
275x4

DB ROW
4x15 with 80
-SS-
DB INCLINE PRESS
4x10 with 60

LAT PULLDOWN
3x10

STRETCHERS
3x12

MEADOWS ROW
3x10

Not really a deload but it’s whatever

you have the reactive ss right? how much do you think you get out of it?

Yessir, I’d say 10%

Little bro squatted 315x5 tonight

Big squat if we’re talking about our secret little 16yr friend, I still can’t find him, is it the BB. com site ? Anyway the reason I posted, is I noticed when I logged on you we’re benching 250x1, and now 275x4, but the date’s are a little confusing it looks like you started the log on Sept 7, but Spar4tee’s log below it, is July, just wondering, because 25lbs + 4reps in 3mths is pretty good. I don’t usually notice such things, but today I did, just wondering when you started this log, because sometimes progress seems slow, but 10lbs a month in the bench is solid, that’s 120lbs a year  imagine that. Good work Latter

That was my brother who squatted that. Unfortunately that 275x4 was with the slingshot lol I think I started my log sometime in October. Since you brought up my potential increase I feel like my bench has been the slowest/least to increase but proportionally I feel like it was far advanced anyways.

Cycle 6 Week 4
DEADS
135x5
185x5
215x5…all felt awful lol

OHP
65x5
80x5
Supposed to do 95x5 but I forgot…you guys would not believe my mental focus difference between my 5’s and deload week and 1’s and 3’s week where I have a money set where I know that that set can make or break my whole workout. I don’t know if it’s good or bad that I can just mentally turn it on and off at will.

20 sets of biceps
-SS-
20 sets of tris
jump rope

You okay, man? lol

Tip: If you buy any of the programs that work ebooks, make sure you know how to open them on your computer. If anyone has any tips I’m all ears. I have a mac btw.

Check your downloads folder. If it’s not there, just search the name in Finder. If you still don’t see it, it may not have downloaded. What browser do you use?
