I was thinking of saying…
If your goals are,
to lose 10 pounds in a week
bench 400 pounds
run a 4 minute mile
OR
kill an alligator with your bare hands, all you have to do is squat 3x per week
Did military deload today and everything felt heavy…ever since I added in CG incline everything pressing wise has felt heavy so even tho I like them a lot were gonna drop them this cycle
Whats the layout Chobbs, it looks like your doing the advanced 531 for the first bench exercise, I’m dying to try this, but i’m still messing around with smolov, so I’m going to wait, and i guess watch how it goes for you. I wasn’t sure what you ment by SS bench, just wondering what template your using.
I didn’t purchase beyond, because I was going to buy Paul’s base building manual instead, I guess seeing as there both 10$ probably makes me cheap, but good work either way !
Cycle 5 Week 1 Day 2
DEADLIFT
245x3
280x3
315x4 belted…shitty set. I think I need to take more time warming up/mobility stuff/slower jumps in weight to warm up bc my deficit deads felt really good
DEFICIT DEADS
3x3 with 285
DB ROW
120x8
100x15 failure
100x8 failure
CG PULLDOWN
1x8 fail
1x10 fail
WIDE GRIP PULL
1x10 fail
1x12 fail
FARMERS WALK
4 trips only down with 100
-SS-
FACE PULL
curls and abs
Pretty bummed about only getting 4…thats awful, I was hoping for 7+ with 8 being my PR
EDIT: I’m going home this weekend to make a little extra cash…I really wanna pick some stuff up from EliteFTS like a good belt, chalk, and maybe some fat gripz.
Looking over my log, it kind of seems like to a varying degree, 3 lifts kind of stall/remain the same while one improves literally every few weeks. First it was press, then bench, deadlift, now squat.
I was sitting in class today and just leaned back to stretch and snap, crackle, pop, slide out there goes my right shoulder. It’s sore AF at the moment but I wasn’t going to hit OHP until Friday anyways.

I had a dream where there was a rack with inch hole spacings and band pegs at my gym… then I woke up.

Didn’t see that coming.
