Did tomorrow’s training today as we’re supposed to get a blizzard of sorts. Warnings are anywhere from 8-16" snow throughout Thursday. The worst is to be in the Omaha/Counciltucky area. If it slides a little east we could get pounded. My guess is 6-8" as the forecasters generally overestimate. Stocked up on meat and milk. Bring it on. Could be a RockBand/GuitarHero day with the kids.
Judged at a meet put on by our gym and a supplement shop. Lots of 1st time lifters, also many vets. Great atmosphere. Lucky enough to win a raffle for $100 gift certificate to a tattoo shop that was one of the sponsors.
Our equipment will be back tomorrow to lift.
Is anyone following the Raw Unity Meet results. The lifting is great and can be found on Powerlifting Watch. Reads like you had a blast putting on the meet. I always love the atmosphere at meets where fellow dedicated lifters cheer each other on.

Our 181 was invited again. He was putting on the meet I helped at and decided not to go to RUM. Saw him today at our gym and he said he would have won his class if he would’ve hit the same numbers from his last meet (4/12). Scary thing, all of his lifts have gone up since then. He said he definitely will try to make next years event.

Elbows are feeling a little tender.
I will be trying to make next years meet too. Maybe I’ll get to meet your lifter there. We definitely won’t be worrying about snow delays at the RUM.

Our fearless leader of 22nd Street Barbell competed today in a SPF meet outside St Louis. He had a pretty good day. He totaled 1500 (515, 365, 620) at 181. A portion of our crew is going is doing UPA Nats in April. Another group is going to Springfield, MO in June for another SPF meet. I’m looking at fall 2013 to compete again. This shit has my juices flowing again.
We’ve talked (as a team) about hosting a meet in Des Moines, IA. It’s becoming more clear that it’ll be an SPF meet. We’re thinking we’ll need to plan the initial meet about 12-18 months in advance.
