Happy New Year!

Today is ME deadlift and DE squats. Think I’m coming down with flu that my wife had. Diarrhea…check. Next step should be for my body to reject food. Can’t wait for this to happen.

Flu should be outlawed.

Squats and deads on the same day? Get lots and lots of rest, or that flu will definitely catch you.

took fence down yesterday. new wall framed. insulation and sheet rock going up today. will put in new toilets tomorrow.

a new texas dl bar showed up today. the flex in this bar is unreal. much more than the okie dl bar that we had.

the flu doubled back and got me saturday night after squatting saturday morning. didn’t feel hungry and didn’t want to eat all day saturday. sweated & shivered myself to sleep saturday night. not much food on sunday. my wife did get popcicles for me. they were yummy. survived sunday. went to clinic on monday. temp of 101 but felt much beter than saturday/sunday. got script. finally wanted and able to eat. delivered prowler to rochester, mn today. looking to get back into gym on saturday.

squats - post flu

did some squats w/80# chain. work up to 225-250 bar weight. felt good to get back and get the juices flowing.

GV, there’s about 15-20 that are charter/original members. We have another 15-20 that train with us but compete in another fed. Most all of our full power guys are RAW.

We also have a handful that drop in once/twice a month on a Saturday to shirt up and bench with our bench only guys (North Iowa Power & Iowa State Powerlifting).

Tweaked lower back picking up gym bag as I was getting ready to leave. It’s always the stupid shit that gets you. Wife had to do some manscaping on me to get the tens unit to stick.
