Anyone else using the tanita and have BF% readings all over the place, even taking readings first thing upon awakening? I know this is a function of hydration, but didn’t expect it to be off that much i.e. since the start: up almost 2% then down almost 1% then up almost 2% again.
Fortunately scale has been better lost another 3 lbs and 1/2 " this week.
I suspect taking BF% via tanita in the evening when hydration is more constant might have worked better.
So what are you all eating today? I also started a few days behind the group so my cheat day will fall on my birthday (this Friday).
I ate an alarming amount of food, including a whole box of girl guide cookies, chips and dip, a dairy queen banana cream pie blizzard, a bagel with cream cheese, 6 cinnamon raison cookies, apple crisp, 2 butter tart squares, a blueberry tart, a piece of carrot cake, and a plate of Chinese food. Needless to say, I went to bed feeling quite ill.
Amazingly, two days later I am down another pound.
Still, I would not recommend eating until you can’t possibly eat any more like I did. Your body will not be happy with you.
Up 0.8 pounds with same waist, but BF down 1.2% since last sunday. About 1.5 pounds of fat. Also much more hydrated than last week so weight increase is probably mostly water. I’m pretty happy and excited about today. Ghengis Grill baby!
So far I’ve only dropped 4.5 lbs, but it obviously came right off my gut because my waist is down 1.25".

I’m starting out with a trip to Dunkin Donuts…a nice sausage and egg on a bagel with some OJ. I’ll probably hit Subway and Benny Tudino’s, which serves one big ass slice of pizza. I’d do chinese, but I don’t want to push it.
This morning started off nicely with Pop Tarts and Cheerios w. Choc. Metabolic Drive. Hit up some Mexican food this afternoon, and we’re planning a mid-afternoon trip to Pretzelmaker for Parmesan pretzels w. pizza sauce. Throw in a little Pizza Hut nightcap to finish off the day nicely and we’re good to go.
One thing for sure: The carb/calorie bolus is making me very sluggish. I passed out in an insulin coma mid morning today, and I almost fell asleep in church.

Ya for sure. I am only down another pound, but lost .5" off my waist!!! The real kicker is that I actually gained .25" in my calves, legs, & neck.

Week 3 Status: - 1lb, - 1% BF, but no change in the waist measurement.
What are most of you using for measuring your BF%?
Anyway, today’s meals: Western Omlette with toast and hash browns. I literally passed out when I got home. Haven’t felt like this since 3 weeks ago. Then some chicken kabobs, moose tracks ice cream, and cheesecake.
Looking forward to Week 4. Hopefully I’ll make better progress this next week.
I just wanted to report in on my progress. I’ve lost 7 lbs since beginning the diet, 2.5 inches of my waist, and down 1.3% bf according to tanita. Today I ate Taco bell, pancakes, donuts. I feel like bloated as hell and am actually looking forward to dieting this week.
Homemade French toast for breakfast, barbecue ribs + chicken + fries for lunch, cake tasting for an upcoming party after that, white chicken chili made w/cream for dinner.

I agree. I woke up this morning feeling like crap and bloated as well. Looking forward to today’s cardio session.
Glad to be back on the wagon as well. I actually got sick of food by mid-afternoon yesterday, and I didn’t eat nearly as much as I have on past binges.
Did the cardio at 5:30 a.m. this morning. It was NOT fun.
I think I’m gonna be more lax on the next cheats and just eat more than normal but still mostly clean. Eating shitty makes me feel shitty. Started running the cardio instead of biking cuz my achilles tendinitis is gone! and WOW… Running really makes me feel like its working haha, 2 minutes on level 10 (6 min/mile) and 2 minutes on level 5 (12 min/mile)

Same thing here. I feel like crap. Yesterday, in the evening, I cooked a pizza with fries and I only eat 2 slices and I feeled full as hell…weird.
Generally, on cheat meals, I can eat a full cheese pizza alone!
I actually ate cheated up and feel great today. The trick is never get too full at any one meal. It’s hard cause you’ll be used to eating these foods until your stuffed but it’s so key not to get stuffed. I went with Some fries, burger, pizza, tostitos and salsa, ice cream and I felt good for todays session. I didn’t finish the portions of all that crap food even though I could’ve.
Anyway, that is the key for me. If I eat 'til I’m stuffed I feel like crap and feel like I gain weight that very day.
