I think patience is key here, it’s been 14 days, which is a relatively short amount of time. I also am more concerned about bf% rather than lbs lost, and I don’t expect major decreases in bf in 2 weeks. I retain water pretty easily, so scale weight is not my major concern, and girth measurements are great as long as the loss isn’t muscle…I am just trying to keep it in perspective, b/c thinking I should have had greater results in such a short amount of time is just setting myself up for frustration. Not too mention, the places where I want to lean out the most are always the most stubborn!
Hey guy.
Just checking in. Keep up the good work. I have used other versions of Cheater’s Diet in the past with awesome and ridiculously rapid results.
I just weighed in for the week. Total of 12 lbs dropped and 3 inches off the navel line. It sounds like many of you are having similar results. Keep it up guys. Looking forward to carb up week. Actually, I think once we are out of priming phase, this will be the most maintainable diets I have ever seen. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well on this.
Thanks Joel.
I lost 2 lbs but only a 1/4 inch off the beast this week.
anyone have the nutritional information for an ounce of cooked pasta.
i can find it for an ounce of dried pasta, or a cup of cooked, but weighing cooked food in ounces is so much more accurate than mashing cooked pasta into a measuring cup.
thanks for any help guys, i did a google search and came away empty handed.

The best way to approach this is to simply cook an ounce and then weigh it after and compare.
good call…time to go boil some water.
looks like dry pasta has a 1:2 weight ratio with cooked pasta.
and brown rice has a 1:3 weight ratio to cooked brown rice
down 11.2 pounds and 1.5 inches off my gut. first week was -8 pounds and 1 inch, so some progess last week, but the first few days after starting carbs again was tough, the weight and measurements went way up. this week should prove very interesting. hope I don’t bloat back up to my original weight!!! ![]()

It’s going to depend on the type of pasta and how long you cook it - the amount of water absorbed will vary. But you already have the information for the dry pasta. Weigh it before you cook it, and then you know the total counts. Then weigh the entirety of the cooked pasta, and divide by the number of servings. Then you can weigh out your portions accordingly.
Didn’t lose anything during week two as far as scale weight. I actually stayed the same which was interesting.
So far have lost 7 lbs, 0.9% BF and 1.5 inches from waist measure.
I’m excited for this week as it is new parameters plus get to start WSP phase II
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to chime in and say that I’ll be the first (i think) to admit that I came off the diet this weekend. I had run a pretty hard diet for 9 weeks before starting this one, and just caved on Saturday night. Other than that, it’s going pretty good for me. The scale has not gone down a ton, but vascularity and cuts are coming in. Have been doing Lactic acid training and that’s been kicking my ass pretty good to. Anyone else that crashed for Easter?
Monopoly
No Crashing here. The weekend did mess me up, since I slept in on Sunday. My normal 7am breakfast was at 11am. LOL
With week 3 underway, things will be interesting !
i actually gained a lb and half the second week and a half inch on my waist but overall down two inches and 6 and half lbs

SINNER!
I managed to stick to the diet, but I skipped a workout. I did an assload of yardwork though, so I think that made up for it.
Curious to know what Biotest products your supplementing. Send me a PM to keep it confidental. Thanks
I had a few pieces of Easter candy. Nothing terrible.
Same weight as last week, though another quarter inch off my waist. Seems consistent with everyone else.
I love Easter candy!! I asked my bf to buy some and keep it at his office until this Sunday. I can’t wait for some sugar! ![]()
Strangely enough I haven’t had any cravings!!
Gained 2,75 lbs last week but lost 0.25" of my waist. I look leaner even though the caliper measurements haven’t changed.
Down 7,25lbs and 2,25" on my waist so far.
I like this “Westside” style of dieting ![]()

I don’t know if I’m allowed to ask this kind of information (as Joel don’t want us to reveal to much of the CD guidelines) but for those of you who don’t use a meal replacement shake…what would be a good alternative?
- Do you guys just take low-carb shake + a fruit or do you drink a mix of oatmeal, water and protein powder? (how does it taste by the way?)
Thanks for the suggestions.
I’ll typically drink some Metabolic Drive and then have an apple or some whole wheat cinnamon swirl bread, depending on the situation.
