I think that should be a low-carb tortilla, save the regular ones for next week.
As long as it’s 100% whole wheat, that’s fine for this week, it doesn’t need to be low-carb. Low-carb ones, or even 100% whole wheat, aren’t even appropriate for next week. Re-read the CD-specs on the foods you should incorporate when.

Week one i lost 3 lbs. i am ramping up the cardio for weeks 2 and 3 to see if that will help the fat loss even more. I might even throw some ephedra in the mix, not sure yet though.

You don’t need ephedra. Just get a couple of bottles of HOT-ROX! I love it. Take 30 minutes before you do your cardio!
I would follow the dosing recommendations on the bottle and not necessarily just plan it around your cardio.

Well, week one went great for me. I lost 5.5 lbs, 1 inch of my waist, 1/2 inch off my hips, 1/2 inch of my thigh, while my bicep and calf measurements stayed the same.

My clothes feel looser and my abs are looking much more defined. Week two is an absolute breeze and I doubt the rest of this diet is going to feel like much of a diet at all.

Joel is the best!

For anyone still lacking in the energy department, I find that taking Greens Plus really helps.

I lost 4lbs and 1" off my waist as well.

Liking it so far.

True, but if this person is doing cardio first thing in the morning, I think taking HOT-ROX would be ideal 30 minutes prior. Of course an afternoon session is completely different, based on the timing of the first dosage. But good point nonetheless!

Concerning BF test and callipers, does anyone tried the Accufitness FATTRACK PRO as critiqued in the last “the gear” article?

I am very interested in buying one but would like to have some input and feedbacks to know if its worth it.

Thanks.

Umm…am I missing something? The sample diet clearly lists 100% Whole Wheat Tortillas for this week…

Yes, and that’s exactly what I said. I only made the comment that they are technically not appropriate for “next” week. If you’re still not sure what I mean, PM me as I don’t want to give away too many timing details.

Can’t believe were about to wrap up Week 2. Time flies when your losing weight… hahaha

How’s people’s weight loss been now that you’ve added in some carbs?

I didn’t lose any weight till I added carbs!

Visually, it has been good. We’ll see tomorrow officially.

Personnally, I look more bloated and I don’t really feel like i’m dieting. That is even if I follow the rules strictly. (not overloading the carbs)

I also don’t feel very hungry and not craving for pizza or any fast food.

And now, next week will be composed of even more carbs followed by a cheat day (??!!) I don’t see how it will bring results that way as I mentally feel I have fucked up all the progression made from the no-carbs week. But I questionned Joel about this and told me to not worry about : results will come.

Does anybody feel the same way? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I totally understand how you feel. It is the psychology of it that drags you down. What I do to overcome my head, is work harder in the gym. Run faster, lift more weight. Faster and heavier. It makes me feel like I earned my food, even if that food is according to my diet. I am excited.

I do feel a little bit this way. I understand exactly what you are saying.

I weighed myself this morning and I am the same as I was last weigh in. Really, that is a good thing. I maintained a five pound weight loss even though I added in carbs.

I think the main objective of this diet is to loose weight without sending your body into starvation mode, and therefore avoiding the yo-yo dieting pattern and the slowed results that happen when your body adjusts to a certain type of diet.

You may be surprised. During the first week, I was very strict with the diet and the workouts, lost about 2 lbs. and 0.5" off the waist. Normally my loss on the first week of low carb is much more, but I figured that a loss was a loss.

This past week I got my workouts in, but didn’t do as much cardio and I wasn’t as strict on the diet. Yes, I know we were allowed carbs, but there were days when I thought that I had eaten too much. I probably even violated the diet a bit when one night I was so hungry that I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Anyway, I weighed and took measurements this morning thinking I would really need to scramble today to show any kind of weight loss tomorrow. I lost 4 lbs. and 1" off my gut. Go figure.

Very good point! I NEVER thought about it in that regards. Adding in Carbs, and potentially not losing any weight, is better than adding carbs and gaining weight. (Fat that is)

Stay motivated everyone. Don’t give in now. Its only been 2 weeks. Keep up the momentum!

haha! thanks again to those nutty Russians who came up with the conjugate methods…maybe this diet should be called Fat Loss the Westside Way.

anybody having probs reaching joel? i have emailed him twice with questions and no response yet. joel, if you see this let me know and i will send you another email with my questions. i dont want to give too much away.

thanks

Well, after reading the last few posts my wife and I are not as disappointed as we were after our measurements. I lost 1 lb, and 1/4 inch off the waist, and she stayed the same. After having stellar results the first week, though, we’re still on track. I just wish I could get the ol’ waist off quicker as I’ve only lost 1/2 inch in two weeks.

I should mention, however, that this is the first time I’ve ever dieted w/o thermogenics, so that has to play a role too. I’ve taken E/C and HOT-ROX in the past on all my diets.
