Funny that your shoulder feels best with wider grip. That would bother my shoulder. Closer grips are best for me. Looking forward to seeing what you can do after this de-load. I bet the deadlift gets real close to 600.
600 might be a ways off…but not from a lack of want. I really think my squats are what is going to grow the fastest. Hopefully that will have a good carryover.
The middle finger on the smooth ring is narrower, for me, by an inch on each side. Once I start getting closer than that, the weight feels heavier. My normal grip, index finger on the ring, feels like it is stresing my shoulder more. Who would think that such a slight change could feel so different.

How wide are your shoulders, LS? Could just be that your grip isn’t as wide as it would be for some.
Mine are at least 20", and that grip feels a little close for me. :)
I’m not sure how, exactly, to measure my shoulders. If I lean against a wall, pushing my shoulders back into it, I am 22 1/2", outside of medial delt to outside of medial delt.
If you hold the tape at the center of my medial delt and run it around my back to the center of the other, it is 25".
Measuring across the back, from where the shoulder joint starts (inside), it is 19 3/4 - 20".
I don’t know that I feel more powerful with middle finger on ring placement, but it doesn’t feel as stressful on my shoulders.
Well, I am finally getting over the flu. It was really mild compared to the one other time I had it. I can only guess that the increased vitamin/mineral intake and better physical condition helped stave off the worst of it. I felt the symptoms wane, significantly, today, but the fatigue finally caught up with me.
Back still doesn’t feel fully recovered. I have ordered a foam roller and hope to start that soon. Hopefully it will ease some of the tension.

Left tricep is a weird one. When I do the pushdowns, it gets really tight and painful right at the elbow. When doing bench or military, however, I can’t tell that there is an issue at all.
