Changing Up My Warm-Up

I am short on time on work days so I need to chaange my warm up a bit.

Normally I do 5 mins on my rower followed by stretching my whole body, each part for 30s. Than I do some light warm up sets.

From what I have read recently, I should skip the stretching at the beginning of my work out and strectch at the end.

Would 5 mins on a rower than 10-20 reps with just the barbell be enough of a warm up? BTW I am on Bill Starrs 5x5.

heres a good warm up article from here:

I usually start my workout with a 3 minute 15 degree incline treadmill walk.

I will static stretch my hip flexors and do some glute activation if I’m going to do squats.

Otherwise i do some dynamic flexibility like arm swings, legs swings etc.

Then I do a barbell complex with just the bar, 4 exercises for 8 reps, non stop, then repeat the complex.

Then I start warmup sets for my first exercise.

i do wide arm circles with 5lbs
trunk twists
and about 5 mins on the heavy bag to break a sweat.
once i get to the rack, 15 - 20 reps with just the bar. nice and easy focusing on breathing.
