Good things to report. I’ve been taking 40-60 mg of Carbolin 19 every day since Dec. 2d. (No other supps, unless you count protein powder/Metabolic Drive and fish oil as a supp, which is sort of silly.) Two things happened since then that make me pleased with the results.

First, I was at a movie with my wife. She reached over and grabbed my arms. “Are you flexing?” she smirked. They were relaxed.

Second, some friends (the kind who don’t bullshit you) who hadn’t seen me in four weeks tripped over themselves telling me how great I look/how much weight I’ve lost/how much more muscular I look.

Keep in mind I’ve only lost 4 scale pounds since 12/2, which is less than 2.5% of my total body mass. I.e., a fat loss of 4 lbs. alone would not have led to this reaction. So it seems I have gained some muscle and lost a lot of fat simultanously - while also losing scale weight.

I was going to do this right and get a DEXA scan at the beginning, and then one 12 weeks later. But the best deal I could find was $150 per scan. $300 is too much for me to spend to satisfy my curiosity.

I’m satisfied with my purchase and ordered more. My wife has also been taking it for three weeks, as it has lipolytic properties not discussed on the site. IMHO, it’s a better “fat burner” (what a dumb term!) than HRX.

I don’t take “measurements,” so here are the only numbers I have (from a FitDay report):

I suspect my results would be even better if I did a hypertrophy based program. I’m not. I lift hard every 4 days (WS4SB type workout), do a rehab/joint traction work two days after a heavey workout, and do BJJ with hard sparring 3 times a week. Also run stairs and do hiking/hill running (one of each, each week). Otherwise, I am at a cpu/sedendary.

I’m looking forward do seeing the results after 12 weeks.

I’ll report back in 8 weeks, or if something interesting happens, i’ll report back sooner.

After I finish 12 weeks of Carbolin 19, I’m going to do CT’s “stack” (50 gms/day of BCAAs/25 gms each of l-glutamine, creatine).

Just finished my 8th week using Carbolin 19. For the past 4 weeks, I’ve been taking 60mg a day.

Scale weight is down; It fluctuates from 211-214 lbs. I’ve noticed a big metabolic boost and need to eat more to optimize Carbolin 19’s results. (The people in the study ate maintenance cals; in light of the fact the subjects were obese, I imagine that would actually be ABOVE maintenance, since it’s not like obese people stop gaining weight.)

The bodycomp changes are subtle but noticeable. I notice increased vascularity - seeing veins in places I’ve never seen before. Getting even more dirty looks from the little guys at the gym and comments from friends who haven’t seen me in a couple of weeks. I don’t just look more muscular from fat loss: I am more muscular. So I’m gaing a little bit of lean mass while losing fat. I like the stuff a lot, and when the 12 weeks is up, will continue taking 20mg a day (as part of the pre-bedtime stack; what better time to increase nitrogen retention?).

Started on 11/2/06. Weight was 220. Weight is now 211-214.
