Does that mean you can do double the amount of weight the OP posted?!?!? lol

I thought it would be a good idea to have a more positive thread given all the trolling and anti-bodybuilding bullshit recently.

Put your hand up if you can do any of the following:

(a) Press more than 300lb

(b) squat more than 400lb

(c) pull more than 450lb

Please don’t post if you can’t now but WANT to do any of the above in the future, we already know that because otherwise you shouldn’t be here.

I thought this was the bodybuilding forum. Since when is this place about powerlifting?

I would be prepared to bet that there aren’t too many people with a good bodybuilder physique lifting less than any of those weights (or an equivalent lift). Bodybuilders aren’t weak.

Awesome!! You’re going to fit right in here!!!

I’d like to point out that at least for me, strength gains came fairly quickly, and while I hit these numbers (actually, hit well over these numbers) within a few years of training, it required many more years learning about nutrition and just logging time in the gym before I started looking like a bodybuilder (strength came to me well before size).

S

I’ve got a 315 Bench but can’t do the other lifts because of herniated discs. FWIW it took less than a year to get to 300.

All you guys that said it was easy…I hate you. I mean c’mon, were you born Bench Pressing a 200 pound placenta for reps or what?

I know once you’re there it’s easy to pull cuz as you progress the weights that were heavy seem lighter, but y’all make it seem like there was no effort getting there. I had to sweat buckets. Maybe I’m just misinterpreting or y’all are just waaay more gifted than me. :-)
I agree, none of this was easy to obtain…

can do on all three…

I’m in the gay little club too

i want to know how many people are repping that weight versus how many people have a 1RM in that weight…as this is the bodybuilding section and as well all know, 1RMs are useless here.

i’d like to see videos of all these alleged 300+ lb presses.

1 rep max…I feel a little dirty inside now.

Repping… but of course now you have to define “repping”. Is it 2 or more? Minimum of 5? That’s why people use 1RM baselines, although your point of 1RMs having little bearing in BB is valid.

Since this is a bodybuilding forum, you might as well ask if the people here can curl 155lb lol.

165 for 5 boys.

Isn’t sex slavery illegal in New York?
It’s new business bro. I’m making millions.

You’e asking for a lot since most respondents here don’t even have a picture posted.

i would usually say 5+ = repping

but i’ll cut it to 4 for this thread

315+ bench back in March (testing again today)

I don’t back squat, but can hit 325 on front squat…does that count for anything? haha

I had a 525 pull a few years back before ‘the accident’. Since then I have only got 485 +2 chains per side for two sets of two. That 5-bill pull will be mine again.

My weight with all these is 198-210ish.

bench PR: 320 (probably 280 now) so i have had it before
squat: I’m most likely good for 400, just too much of a pansy to give it a try right away
deadlift: 460
