The answer is, of course, “It depends.” But for the most part, my opinion is that this shouldn’t be a problem at all. I think lots of pressing is a good idea and the shoulders are a muscle group that can take it. In my opinion.

I’ve been doing this for awhile. OHP and close-grip bench on first upper day and then Bench and push press on second upper day.

I think if you are skinny fat that could cause trouble.
Maybe think about seated pressing on a steep incline. And possibly using dumbbells or the Smith Machine.
