Buying A New Car...But Which One??

How about a new honda?

Hello all. I’m in the process of buying a new car since my beloved Ford F-150 is bleeding my dry at the gas pump and I’m going to sell it soon by Blue Book value. Currently I have the Honda Accord and Ford Focus models on my list but open to anything else that is economical on gas.

Any thoughts/suggestions?[/quote]

I personally do not like the way the Focus’ drive. The transmission is different in them.

Subaru Outback. Roomy, good on gas (26-32mpg), all wheel drive, comfortable etc.

Haha, Push, I was just thinking you need some comfortable shoes to drive an Outback.

Hyundai is a very good choice. That company is doing it right

I figured I’d throw that in as a joke at my expense, Push.

I’ve been busy with school and workin full time - I’ll text yo wifey

OP, if you’re thinking Accord or Camry then I would look at either a used Acura or Lexus. You’ll be much, much happier with either of them and they make a much better impression. My wife has 80k on her 2007 Lexus ES and it’s still new looking inside despite having the tan interior. It’s been in the shop once when one of the headlight motors went out under warranty but that’s been it.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence. I’ve been doing extensive research and have thought of considering the Honda CRZ as an option. Also reading Cosumer Reports the Chevy Cruze and Ford Focus got some bad marks in terms of mileage, handling, options, etc.

As of now I’ve got the Honda Accord EX, Honda CRZ , Honda Civic and VW Golf on the list. Any more ideas keep em coming.

Mileage in the Cruze? I typically hit the median due to my commute so I was averaging about 34mpg. I thought it handled pretty well (I’m young and like to drive stupid but I’m not racing it). Options- yes, you could argue that. The ECO model pretty much only came with the option for the connectivity package when I purchased it which was bluetooth/onstar/xm. You weren’t able to get leather, navi, etc. Not sure if that has changed.

Either way, I think it’s worth checking out. I was also looking at some Kias, Hyundais, Hondas, and Mazdas. The Cruze won out due to styling and drivability

It’s also worth checking out a Cost to Own Calculator like http://www.edmunds.com/tco.html

I have a 2007 Civic with 175K on it. Since I’ve owned it, I have done nothing by oil changes and the brakes. I don’t know if they still use them, but my civic has a timing chain so I didn’t have to worry about replacing the belt. It does look like she will be getting a new clutch this summer though. I have a rough daily commute and that car has been a trooper!

I’m hoping it will last me at least 2 more years before I need to replace it and I will most likely be looking at another Honda. I will say that since it only has the 1.8L it is sluggish until you get up to about 3500 rpms so I would probably want something a little peppier.

I love the CR-Z, but I need to have a back seat. Same with the Subaru BRZ :frowning: I have yet to test drive the Scion FR-S, but I sat in one at a car show last year and really liked the interior.

But at some point you have to drive the fucking car.

I mean Halle Berry is fucking fine, but if she fucks like a nun then its a waste of time.

Are you comparing Halle Berry with a Chevy Cruz or a Honda CRZ? What did she ever do to you?

That woman is almost perfect to me.

But really if she doesn’t want an ass spank and doesnt do BJ’s then its a waste.

You have to drive a car to see if you even like it ergonomically and drive-ability. IMO

I agree with this 100%, especially when it comes to these type of cars. For example, I fit fine in the new Golfs but I can’t sit for more than 5 minutes in a Jetta without getting a back ache. The seats just don’t work for me despite the fact they are the same manufacturer and similar class of cars.

Exactly and some of these cars you almost want to get out and push the fucker to get it on the highway or after a stop light.

Halle Berry, Derek? Are you cheating on Salma Hayek? She will not be too happy about that.

I was shaking it up a bit. Those are my two visions of perfection.

How would it be you just actually get a chance to tap that ass and she smells like a fresh opened can of tuna?

Its like buying a gun, would you just buy one without going to fire it?
