Doctor
Lower part of your ankle?
You mean your heel?
Achilles tendon, right above your heel?
Define burning, too. Like, muscle burning, or like… I don’t even know what else it can be.
Does it feel damaging? Does it feel like something minor, that you can work through? Or does it feel like it’ll cripple you if you don’t respect and treat it.
You might want to think about replacing jogging with high-rep power-snatches. That shit’s fucked up.
Im not quite sure about jogging in general its difficult to get a proper stride jogging. I think walking or running are more natural than jogging. If your stride is off you will hit the heel heavy and cause pain like this, ive noticed. Definitely cut back when you feel that pain, ignore it and it will lead to tendinitis, eventually.
Try some walking mixed with normal full run and see if that is better. Can alternate between the two and still burn alot of calories. If you’re just plain too out of shape to run even for a short period of time hit the elliptical its nice on the joints and can build a little cardio power.
sorry, a little veg
its a muscle burning sensation
it feels like Achilles tendon but also the opposite side.
When I sprint it doesn’t hurt.
It could be that the facsia is inflamed, go see a doctor.
You can go to the doctor I guess, just warning you ahead of time he probably cant do shit for you. Adjust your stride, back off when you feel pain. A good running pace is 3 strides a second. Shorten your stride to slow down lengthen it to speed up. Dont land on yer foot like a sledgehammer it sends shockwaves thru the tendons and muscles around the ankle
The sad truth is the current state of medical technology cant do much for tendons other than recommend RICE.
If you guys really know of one that can please let me know, would be a god send.
Go to a sports doctor not a normal gp it could be anything from poor running form to the wrong shoes or something more full on like stress fractures (which i have had twice) to shin splints.
