Elevated stiff legs: 250 x 5…called it a day felt like a train wreck

Ok ,I hit the freaking wall. At this point I know why after looking through my log here at home. Im pretty much way past some form of a deload.

I

I plan on adding some front squats to the mix on my Pull days… got a wild hair and worked up to 365 x 1 today.

I get those wild hairs all the time. Keeps the workouts interesting.

OH pressing looking solid
everything else is coming along pretty fast- even if it feels slow.

Interesting maybe…but i don’t know how intelligent it was for me to do front squats the day after doing deads.

In retrospect I admit its coming back faster then I had expected…still doesn’t make it any less boring.

Had to get a fast one end Friday… boys had a scrimmage game a week before regular season starts. Probably going to have to change my training days as the season begins.

Standing OHP: 2 x 10 x bar
80
100
120
150 x 5
170 x 3
190 x 1… did 6 with a few still in tank
Went ahead and worked up a little
210 x 1
230 x 1…This one went up easy but I decided that was heavy enough for today.
150 x 15… pretty much empty the tank

Band pull aparts : 5 x 20 done between OHP sets

95
135
185
225
240 x 5
270 x 3
300 x 1… blew up 6 with some still in the tank
Alright … Shoulder was feeling good so I did a few more sets.
315 x 1
345 x 1
365 x 2… they looked UGLY as hell.

    3 x 5 x 240

Band pull aparts : 5 x 20 …done between bench sets

Pulldowns: 5 x 10 x SW

Lying DB Tri extensions: 5 x 12 x someweight

Shoulder horn: 2 x 20 x 10 lbs
Band external rotations 2 x 20

Ok, I guess you could call it a good session… Whooo, time for a deload.

You and I have very different perspectives on what constitutes “UGLY as hell”. Those really didn’t look too bad to me… And also you said “some left in the tank” and it looked like you had another 6 reps in there lol. I’m sure my mindset will become more conservative as I get increasingly older and fucked up though. Anyway, nice start to a strong bench comeback.
